From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by the reception staff. Our bedroom was large and the bed was really comfortable. We enjoyed quality food at both dinner and breakfast time. Everything about the hotel was excellent… we’ll have to return soon!

We stayed here for my partner’s birthday. Room was lovely and big on the 4th floor. The bathroom is dated but I’m sure that will be refurbed at some point. Reception were helpful when asking for an extension lead due to a need for a medical device next to the bed. There were a few different events on in the hotel so we only had the option of a bar meal, food was very average but did the job although very over priced for a frozen pizza. The lounge area was nice but the furniture needs a good clean there are stains everywhere on the seating. Breakfast was tasty but sadly it was so busy the staff were literally on top of us waiting for us to finish. Myself and my partner hadn’t even finished our toast and pastry and they were taking our plates away. Either more training for the staff or add more tables to the lounge area. I had breakfast within 15 mins as they were taking our plates away rushing us. That was a huge disappointment for me. Would I stay again I’m really not sure!

This is one of the dirtiest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. There was hairs and yellow stains everywhere in the bathroom. Staff is lovely, breakfast was great, and there’s huge potential to make this place a 4-star, but it needs a lot of improvement.

Attended our Christmas party at the Bowden again, with 130 of us at the event - everything was amazing from the check in process, to the food and music at the event. The breakfast next morning was again to a high standard and the checkout process seamless. We have already booked our event for 2025, knowing that the high standard will be kept Thank you Bowden

As to be expected, Gavin and his team at Mercure Gloucester Bowden Hall Hotel were faultless! The room was well equipped and spotless, and the bed was extremely comfortable….. the only downside was we were inly staying for the one night! We were lucky enough to be able to book one of the beautiful Lakeside Pods for dinner…..what an experience! A must do for anyone staying. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. I cannot wait for a return visit to this beautiful hotel.
