Great if you play golf or are bringing the family

This is a beautiful family or golfer oriented resort. I wouldn’t recommend for couples unless you like kids-as they are everywhere, but as we had our grandson it was great. We visited on the weekend, hopefully different vibe during the week. There is an indoor, outdoor pool, an ice-rink, toboggan, games rooms, world class golf course etc etc, so no-ones getting bored. Nice range of restaurants with awesome views however the room service selection is limited and expensive ($30 for a burger) but good quality. Typical of an Accor brand hotel- inflate the food price to compensate for their Accor card discount program. Our rooms (321 & 318) were very large and clean if somewhat boring and generic in decor. Good comfortable bed and nice toiletries in the bathroom. Free parking is always appreciated and staff are friendly and professional. While the overall impression of the property is a historic grand alpine resort there is a feeling of it being “used” rather than pristine with some maintenance and cleanliness issues making it more four star rather than four and a half or five. The outside pool has large chips in the pool surface, the parquet flooring around lift lobbies is pretty hammered and dirty. Not the hotels fault but a lot of parents don’t seem to give a damn about controlling their kids ( they’re there to “relax”) and the result is damage to the property and aggravation to other guests.

Great Place for a weekend stay especially for families, just a stones throw from the Blue Mountains, walks are at an abundance, 5 minute drive to Leura for Cafes and restaurants and the Bakery for the best pies. Staff at the Hotel are pleasant and willing to assist at all times, room was clean and well maintained, the Hotel was very clean

Take the train and Uber if you can.

Came here for a staycation in Sept 2024 with a family friend and her daughter. The drive up was zig zaggy, so I had a sore head by the time I reached the resort. For dinner, I didn't know we had to make a reservation. So it was booked out by the time I arrived. I had a sprained ankle during my visit, so moving abt was very hard on me, so we mostly stayed indoors. Breakfast was great as an Accor Plus member as I got 50% off, and free for children under 12.

Tired resort, some staff not so good !!

Overall this hotel is ok, as others have said it’s a little tired and could do with a ‘spruce up’. The staff in the main are very helpful (especially the concierge Michael) . Unfortunately we had a very poor meal in the restaurant, waited 50 minutes, it was cold, and the filet steak had far too much fat on it. The waitress was very apologetic and understanding, and suggested we spoke with the manager of the restaurant. When we mentioned this to the manager (Paul) he was uninterested, asking what did we expect … anyway, after a discussion he very reluctantly agreed to reduce the bill. Whilst doing so his demeanour was outrageous, he was banging his fist on the side of the till/register , in an aggressive manner. After I paid, he shouted as I walked away ‘thank you’ …. It was all totally unnecessary. Maybe he’d had a bad day .

3*Familienhotel aber kein Fsirmont Luxus Hotel Waren während den Weihnachhtsferien im Hotel. Die Lage des Hotels direkt an den Blue Mountains ist prima. Die Zimmer sind einfach eingerichtet - das Bett war durchgelegen. Großteil der Infrastruktur des Hotels ist komplett veraltet - 1970/80 Jahre und absolut renovierungsbedürftig. Das italienische Restaurant war trotz hoher Auslastung geschlossen und das Steakrestaurant nur zur Hälfte buchbar. Alles wirkte sehr schmuddelig. Die Wäsche im Zimmergang lag 2 Tage. Das Personal war bemüht und fleißig - aber überlastet. Besser wäre es als 3 Sterne Familienhotel zu verkaufen
