Rory not a nice manager. Him and his reception staff. They are incredible rude. Unsympathetic and nasty. I had 2 elderly people in their 70 and needed 30 mins extra time so they can get their stuff and leave They wouldn't accept I got upset when the reception staff told me that if I stay one minute extra they will charge me 100 dollars. Iam a platinum member of accor and I'll never stay here again nor will i ever recommend it to anyone I know.

I would like to add in the information that you have left out of your review as I do feel you are misrepresenting the resort and our staff. As was discussed with you, we had already given you an additional hour to check out, despite how busy we were over school holidays. As a Platinum member, you would know that late checkouts are subject to availability, but we always do our best for our loyalty members, and we were able to arrange this for you. Our EAM had to intervene with you after you had gotten agitated with our Reception team, and then the Front Office Manager when demanding additional time. As was discussed with you at the time, we had allowed an additional hour, and aggressive interactions with our team members is not tolerated, hence Rory coming to speak with you directly. Disappointing. Do not stay during the week.

We booked a Monday-Wednesday stay with a few friends and families for the last week of holidays to find most of the hotel activities for kids and dining options are not available during the week. We booked a two bedroom suite at over $500 per night and many of activities the kids wanted to do are only available on weekends and public school holidays. Our kids are still on holidays but the activities are not on offer. They weren’t able to go on the slide, the paddle boats, the ponies or go on the adventure park. The kids train runs once a day at 9am and if you miss a ticket or the departure time it’s done. House cleaning cleared our room on Tuesday and said they would return with fresh towels and didn’t, calls to house keeping, reception and concierge were all unanswered. The dining options were very average and room service being one of the only options was super limited. No mini bar in be room and extremely limited food and drink options within the resort. The rooms are quite dated, I was glad we booked the suite but even that was underwhelming. Such a shame as we convinced friends to join us but wouldn’t likely visit again. Definitely do not recommend staying at the Fairmont Monday to Friday.

A restless stay making me wish I rather stayed at home

I am not one to write reviews, especially a poor one but I was so extremely disappointed with my last visit. This was my 2nd visit and unfortunately, will most probably be my last which is a shame as my daughter enjoyed the amenities. Our family booked 2 deluxe rooms (431 and 432) for 1 night ($800 total) on the 21st July 2024. I have had a long week and was looking forward to much needed R&R. At 2:30AM, I was awoken with a loud persistent sound emanating from near the door. The sound was bad enough that I decided to go to the front desk to ask the lady who was staffed at the time to have a look. She agreed that the sound was abnormal and loud. 5 minutes later, a manager knocked on the door (now waking up my wife) and told me that it was a plumbing issue and that we could change rooms. Unfortunately, this was not a feasible option given the logistics of: 1) Waking up a 8 year old and then getting her to fall asleep again 2) We were travelling with my elderly parents in the opposite room 3) Having to pack up all our luggage at 2:30 AM in the morning At the end, we decided to endure a restless night across both rooms. Upon check out, the front desk did not bother to ask us about our stay and was simply more interested in whether we incurred any charges to the room. I have recorded a video of the issue and am happy to share with your staff if interested. Other highlights of my stay included being overcharged for our dinner. Rather than refunding me the incorrect amount, I had to pay the full amount again whilst waiting 3-4 days for the first lot of charges to be refunded.

Good get away with the kids, for which the hotel has lots to do during the holiday period. Rooms clean and lots of space. One major disappointment was the food. Not a lot on the kids menu and god knows what was in the chicken nuggets but definitely not chicken. The Lounge Bar area was busy at lunch but there was no organization, food and drink came at different times. Second and last time, my daughter's food and drink came when my son and I had finished our food and drink, and she only ordered a croissant that was already in the Lounge Bar fridge.. Maybe it was too busy for the staff, or the hotel was too focused on the NSW Origin team that was based at the hotel these few days.

3*Familienhotel aber kein Fsirmont Luxus Hotel Waren während den Weihnachhtsferien im Hotel. Die Lage des Hotels direkt an den Blue Mountains ist prima. Die Zimmer sind einfach eingerichtet - das Bett war durchgelegen. Großteil der Infrastruktur des Hotels ist komplett veraltet - 1970/80 Jahre und absolut renovierungsbedürftig. Das italienische Restaurant war trotz hoher Auslastung geschlossen und das Steakrestaurant nur zur Hälfte buchbar. Alles wirkte sehr schmuddelig. Die Wäsche im Zimmergang lag 2 Tage. Das Personal war bemüht und fleißig - aber überlastet. Besser wäre es als 3 Sterne Familienhotel zu verkaufen
