Blocked shower drain.

Shower room drain was blocked. It nearly flood the room carpet, luckily we realised it and stop our shower before too late. Dinner at the bar comes with a live bug in our caeser salad. All this happened in same night of our 19th anniversary trip.

Overpriced, outdated. Biggest waste of money! Don’t do it to yourself!

The only positive is the staff are friendly. The entire hotel is in disrepair. Lifts were broken, dust and debris everywhere. The room was stale, stunk, wallpaper falling off, fridge barely cold, windows and blinds dirty. Mould in the bathroom, flaking paint, no plug in sink. We had cigarette smoke coming through air conditioning during the night all night. The restaurant Embers was overpriced, service sub par, limited selection and food wasn’t great. The buffet breakfast… in keeping with the theme of the entire hotel… overpriced and tasteless. Overall so disappointed. Don’t believe the photos you see on their website!

My complaint refers to the New Years Eve All You Can Eat Banquet which we were charged an outrageous fee of $155 per person to get mainly finger food and second-rate food which in my opinion should not be valued at more than $60 per head as well the resort closed the Bar and their restaurants at 9 PM on the most important days of the year New Years, which most unsuspecting guests booked to see in the NEW YEAR. When I rang the resort before visiting was told the banquet was in the ballroom by your front desk which we latter discovered was held on the lawn with no canopy provided if it rained had we known we would not have booked instead one of the restaurants. We arrived at the event to find not sufficient tables provided or chairs were provided so we had to physically scout around the lawn and try and grab one available so we could be seated and those unlucky to get a table had to get their food from the server and eat standing up for an event costing $155 per head which is a disgrace as well as a total RIP OFF. apart from inferior food and they did not provide any meat or lamb or vegetables and only meat patties lettuce sausages and some fish and oysters, but they rang not long after starting and my wife never got any. To make matters worse it started to rain, and both our friends and I got wet, and they did not provide any cover or clothes to dry the seats, so we had to sit soaking till we left the event. The organizers were fully aware of how tables and chairs to provide as this New Years Feast had to be paid in advance. We ended the event both cold and wet huddled under the cover of the server which was limited with cheap food for the price which have a four-course banquet in a restaurant on proper tables chairs knives forks undercover as opposed to using paper side plates which could not fit hardly any food. We are so disgusted that we are going to try get a refund for paying this high value which never comes close to having value for money. Aside from this we went to have a drink in the Bar and told us the bar closed at (PM and at 9 PM on New Years Eve then was also told that all the restaurants had also closed but we still managed to get some pots of tea for us and our friends. The whole costly exercise was a disaster and a nonevent and a disgrace trying to get the guests to pay excess amounts of their hard earned for such small return It is an absolute RIP OFF and disgrace and I have made it known to The General Manager to compensate us in respect to the above awful events We will have to seriously think twice of ever staying that is dirty has old furniture overcharges everything gives misleading information nothing left to say it is not a five start probably a 1 or 2 star max therefore cannot charge 5 start prices

Firstly the positives... very friendly staff and lovely grounds. We had a large room with a balcony. Next, not so positive. This was our first stay at the Fairmont and having read what it provided, it sounded fine. We booked for 4 nights. It is a very large hotel and therefore accommodates hundreds of people. The hotel had put on a range of school holiday activities for the whole of January, which obviously attracted hundreds of families with small or school aged children. Breakfast was included in our room cost. The food was OK but having to queue at 3 different points for hot food, coffee, and then at the toasters, meant something had to go cold. Due to the number of families eating breakfst at the same time, the room was incredibly noisy, so not a relaxing experience. We could only reserve a table at one of the hotel restaurants if we scanned a QR code and down loaded their App. This didn't work for us and I went in person to the Fairmont Golf Club, only to be told I couldn't book in person, but had to use the App. Needless to say we just went elsewhere and ate out in Leura for the rest of our stay. Finding a parking space was also a bit of pain as we often had to drive around to find one. It was a pity that the hotel did not live up to our expectations and we will not be staying there again.

3*Familienhotel aber kein Fsirmont Luxus Hotel Waren während den Weihnachhtsferien im Hotel. Die Lage des Hotels direkt an den Blue Mountains ist prima. Die Zimmer sind einfach eingerichtet - das Bett war durchgelegen. Großteil der Infrastruktur des Hotels ist komplett veraltet - 1970/80 Jahre und absolut renovierungsbedürftig. Das italienische Restaurant war trotz hoher Auslastung geschlossen und das Steakrestaurant nur zur Hälfte buchbar. Alles wirkte sehr schmuddelig. Die Wäsche im Zimmergang lag 2 Tage. Das Personal war bemüht und fleißig - aber überlastet. Besser wäre es als 3 Sterne Familienhotel zu verkaufen
