Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review of your stay. We truly appreciate your feedback, both the positives and the areas where you feel we fell short. We’re pleased to hear that our team made a positive impression and that you found the location convenient for your concert at the arena, as well as enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere of the surrounding area. However, we’re genuinely sorry to hear that your room did not meet your expectations. We take your comments regarding the room layout and maintenance very seriously, and we apologize for any discomfort caused during your stay. We can see you chose to reserve our entry level room grade, a City Pad. These rooms are small, more ideal for one guest but can sleep 2. We have larger rooms here at Mercure Nottingham City Centre such as our Privilege rooms and Suites. Both of which I am confident would provide the additional space you require or desire I apologise should the view of the city have disappointed or offended you due to you being able to see rubbish from neighbouring businesses in the distance. Your observations about the breakfast experience and the overall value you felt you received are also important to us, and we will be reviewing these points with our team to see where we can make improvements. Dear Lee, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. I’m very sorry to hear that your stay in one of our Privilege rooms did not meet your expectations. We completely understand your frustration, especially when the experience did not match what you believed had been advertised. Please accept our sincere apologies for the maintenance issues you encountered with the shower drain and extractor fan — these are not the standards we aim to uphold. While our hotel’s historic nature can present some challenges, it is never an excuse for facilities not being in proper working order. I understand how disappointing that must have been. Your comments are appreciated and we will use this feedback to make any and all necessary changes and improvements where necessary. We will also review how we present and maintain our Privilege rooms to ensure a better experience for all future guests.
