We book every year one night in this hotel during the festival. Why do we go every time back? First the hotel is modern and very well maintained. It is a modern hotel but in my view the 'better' Novotel'. Rooms are not small and very clean with all necessary modern comfort. Breakfast is a relatively large buffet; obviously not Michelin star but in any case nothing to complain. Other plus is that they have their own parking but also it is outside the old city but literally opposite the wall which means, the whole center is in less than 5' walking distance. Where would you find an hotel easily accessible by car but in walking distance of the old town and at the same time offering you all modern comfort at a correct price? That is why we book it every year

Modern hotel just outside the old city walls, a block from the main train station and an 18-minute walk to the Palais des Papes. My room had ample closet space and a mini-fridge. Lighting in the room was good. There is a large lobby area and a pool. Breakfast buffet was nice, with limited hot food, but nice fresh fruit and good croissants and pastries.

A catalogue of errors. The room wasn’t ready when we arrived as expected mid afternoon. No alternative was available or offered. When we did reach the room there was no courtesy tray and the empty fridge hadn’t been restocked. Worse was to come when I reached for the bath towel after a shower only to find it, let me say, soiled. Disgusting. We reported everything at the front desk on our way out, had an apology and hoped everything would be fine when we returned. The fridge now had some fizzy drinks, ok, the coffee had been replaced, good, but that disgusting towel was still in the bath where I left it. Checkout was good but no questions were asked. I completed the hotel questionnaire over 24 hours ago and there has been no response or comment or contact. Very disappointed to say the least.

駅から近く荷物を運ぶのにも楽でした。 ＡＶＩＧＮＯＮの全部の観光地が徒歩圏内で便利でした。スーパ－が近く買い物にも便利でしたが２０時に閉店するので気を付けなければなりません。ホテルは部屋、朝食とも良かったです。２泊目泊まった部屋は、室内金庫が開かず利用できませんした。ホテルの人に言いましたが最後まで修理できませんでした。それだけが残念なことです。

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Payed €220 a night for old-stained room furniture, neglected pillows, no room clean-up, terrible noise insulation, mediocre food, rotting apples on breakfast buffet, ice-cold temperature pool, no apology and an offer to reimburse the cost of parking for all the inconveniences (which equaled 5% of the total amount charged for our stay). This is what you’d expect from a 2-3 star hotel that charges no more than €80 a night.
