The goods - serene, classy - YuLong Snow Mountain view directly from the resort - easy transfer between room and front desk/restaurant/lobby through buggy car. Very prompt and easy to book for one - warm hospitality - fabulous breakfast and afternoon tea The not-so-goods - a bit dated - not close to the famous Lijiang Ancient City though it’s about 1km from the Shu He Ancient City, which is much smaller scale (both vibrancy and size) than Lijiang Ancient City Personal experience - a big shout-out to Emi,KiKi,Rita of Front Desk, Bill of Concierge and finally Mr 陶健评 of Room Service. We had an excellent stay at the resort for 2 nights. Right from the check-in which was smooth with an upgrade provided given my Accor Platinum status, to making sure all detailed personalised experience was always and timely fulfilled. Our 2nd day started with YuLong Snow Mountain visit hence the resort packed us some breakfast take-away. When we were back from the half day trip, the afternoon tea didn’t disappoint us and indeed the kids and my parents were able to enjoy the session with the companion of water ducks swimming in the small pond just outside the restaurant. - Emi of Front Desk in fact went beyond my expectation which significantly mellowed down the experience of the dated furnishing in the room. I thought I lost my iPad after I checked out from the resort (which I didn’t, fortunately) so I communicated with Emi through WeChat and she coordinated with her colleagues for a search at mid-night. I’m truly grateful and indeed it enhanced my experience with the resort even more.

It was an extremely beautiful place with the view of the snow mountain too on good weather. Staff Kira was really hospitable and cheerful. She is extremely attentive to details and is always ready to offer assistance when needed. It was a wonderful and heartwarming experience.

Excellent experience at Pullman Lijiang. Excellent facilities and very friendly staff. They have the most beautiful lake view cafe to enjoy food. The villa was very comfortable. Special thanks to Kira who provided very warm hospitality and was always available.

There is a line distinguished the classic and decrepit. This hotel is worn-out!

We book a big villa with the hot water poo;. The room is very old with some old and useless decoration. Ex, the box in the end of the bed, the box in the cafe area, both looked terrible. It is not elegant box but rough. There is a nesspresso machine but not capsule. Be careful for the mini frig door, finger might clampped when open the door. There is only one room with floor heat so very cold in other rooms. The lighting in the garden is low and not bright. All functions are separated for this room. I supposed to stayed 3 nights but cancel immediately for the second morning. The reservation rep always asked you back to your APP to manage your booking not like other Accor hotel can do by a phone call. The reception desk is aged and worn-out. Very bad for first image.

So I don’t like writing negative reviews but I feel I’ve got to here. I was really excited and looking forward to our stay at the Pullman, as I’ve stayed at Pullman resorts all around the world, and this is bottom of the heap! The one thing I was looking forward to was an indoor heated pool to swim in after being out all day. It’s called Pullman resort and spa… yet there is only an outdoor pool (and it’s currently 7 degrees) unless you book a private villa. We get to our room and to be honest it felt pretty dated compared to other Pullman’s I’ve stayed in. It feels like the Pullman that Pullman forgot about. The safe didn’t work and locked my passports in it and I had to get hotel staff to come get them out. It is FAR from soundproof, to the point my partner heard the neighbour fart through the walls, and we got woken up multiple times at some crappy hour by someone’s door banging shut. Next thing which was not so great, was the almost complete lack of English (only one staff member spoke English) and I don’t mean that to sound privileged or bratty as we were obviously in China, but it was beyond a joke. I’ve travelled multiple times around the world, and always the hotel staff has spoken English. Checkin could only be done via google translate! Next up, I tried to order a cake and an electric car turned up 😂. The reception staff were lovely and tried their best but if you were someone who didn’t use a mobile phone, have access to google translate, or were from the older generation, you’d be absolutely stuffed. If we’d have booked an obscure Chinese hotel I’d be expecting that but we chose an international brand hotel to try make thing a a bit easier, to which we just found it easier to organise tours and activities ourselves rather than asking hotel staff for help (even though that is offered). Finally, wifi is no good at all. Requires a Chinese phone number or WeChat but when selecting WeChat error codes were displayed despite WeChat being successfully installed and working on the device, so again we just had to test her our mobiles. The positives: it is close to Shuhe old town and is clean but that’s about it. Soooo, hate to say but all in all I wouldn’t stay here again and definitely wouldn’t recommend.
