It was very poor experience. My first problem is I booked that hotel, especially to get Accor live points. I was only told after the booking that the state is not eligible so I feel like I have been ripped off. My second problem is although it doesn’t say on the website beforehand that you have to pay extra to use the hotel swimming pool which I find completely unacceptable because it is part of the hotel amenities They wanted to charge us 22,000 South Korean won to use the swimming pool which is ridiculous. And then once we were to hear words all that in addition to that we have to buy a swimming cap for the swimming pool that they charge quite a lot of money for this hotel is a complete rip-off and really not worth the money and we paid for it.

Probably the worst room experience I have ever had. Unfortunately this stay was booked by our business hosts so they will have booked the cheapest room however even for a cheap room there should be minimum standards! Very basic amenities and the only wooden bath I have ever seen. A trip to B and Q, purchase a few planks of 4 x 2 and you too can have one. Air con all noise and virtually no cool air, no blackout blinds so with the light level outside it was like trying to sleep in the middle of the day. The shower was an absolute disaster. Shower head bracket hanging off the wall by one screw and the overhead ceiling outlet wouldn’t latch in when pulling the valve so unusable. To cal it all, no shower door but a curtain (what type of hotel has shower curtains in 2022 other than student backpacking ones?). With the shower curtain closed the uprising warmer air causes the curtain to billow inwards and clinging to you. Only way to stop this is opening the curtain, which then soaks the toilet which is right outside the shower. I give this hotel one star only because there is no lower choice.

A good hotel next to Changwon convention hall. Reception staff was helpful and offered us box of Ferrero as no Accor platinum upgrade was available for twin room category (other categories all double). Back of hotel quieter than main road. Only 3 minus : 1/indoor pool and sauna chargeable (22,000KRW), 2/breakfast buffet suspended depsite being 3 weeks into "coexisting with COVID in Korea" (replaced by 4 choices in room service with fixed delivery time) 3/only one remote control for lights in room.

We enjoyed a comfortable three night stay at the Grand Mercure Changwon. The room was clean and functional. The bathroom; however, was a bit eclectic: sliding glass doors and no space beside the sink. The hotel has excellent facilities except that the restaurant is closed for dinner due to COVID-19. Breakfast is room service only. The hotel’s next to a shopping mall with several restaurants.

My co-worker and myself checked into the hotel on October 25, 2021. We were told due to the COVID restrictions, the breakfast package we ordered during our stay would be a breakfast brought to our rooms as a room service. We were than given a menu that consisted of eggs cooked several ways, a choice of a piece of bacon, ham or sausage, and a glass of OJ or coffee or tea. Since I don’t eat the bacon, ham or sausage, my ordered when it arrived was an egg and a glass of orange juice. There were two hash browns about the size of a half dollar, a small salad and a slice of toast. There are no other options. I asked for a fruit bowl…nope, I asked for some yogurt…nope, I asked for pancakes…nope. For a small skinny person this might be sufficient but I am 6’ 1” and weigh 240 pounds. Not to mention the cost for this egg and orange juice is over $25 a day. When I asked them to cancel the breakfast package, I was told since I requested the package when I made the reservations with the corporate office, the hotel can not cancel it. So I asked for a phone number to call the corporate office. Nobody seems to know how to contact corporate. I was not helped at all to contact the corporate office. I was able to get an email address that I sent an email to corporate 4 days ago and no response as of yet. I was able to locate a number I used to make the reservation and was told by corporate reservations office, that the hotel is the one to cancel the breakfast package and not corporate. So I went back to the front desk and supposedly spoke to a front desk manager and again was told they can’t cancel the breakfast package because I got the package through corporate. I asked to speak with he hotel manager, and of course they don’t work on the weekends because I guess the hotel never has problems during the weekend. So here we go, I am paying $25+ a day for an egg and glass of orange juice. And I have to pay $25 if I don’t eat the egg or drink the orange juice. I am disappointed at the way the hotel pawns off a problem to corporate when they have the power and obligation to correct an unsatisfactory situation. None of this was foretold when I made the reservations. Because of the location to the company I am working with and the fact it is the only “foreign “ type hotel, is the reason why I made my reservations. When I come back and visit later in the year, I will not stay here again and instead stay at the Marriott in Busan, and pay for the hour taxi ride.
