We have stayed three times in this hotel and found it very good, especially the superior rooms overlooking the promenade and sea, with a view of the nearby Chateau to the left. The top-floor breakfast room is very special with its panoramic view and good selection of food. Our room had a wardrobe which is the best design we have seen anywhere: it has a shelf wide enough for two suitcases side by side. Clothes can be hung direct onto the rail above and other items put into drawers immediately below. The shower basin has a non-slip floor, a safety feature which we found absent in other Mercure hotels. The Grande Rue is only a few minutes walk away and the famous Saturday morning market is not to be missed. The hotel has a basement car park and any queries can be answered by Olivier on reception. Don’t miss a visit to the Chateau which has an amazing world-class collection of carved ivory in addition to impressionist paintings.

Great location, good hotel and easy access to the sea and marina.

Hotel is located overlooking the sea, we had a sea view room which was very comfortable. The room had a fridge which was idea and air conditioning. The breakfast was average and we only took it once. There is a car park which is underground and a bit of a challenge when busy. There is a bar and they do food but we didn't have any meals as there were great local options in walking distance. This is part of the Mercure chain and good standard.

A good place to start and end a trip.

We spent just a Sunday night here after getting off the Newhaven Ferry so arrived late, but the young woman on reception was pleasant and efficient; a quick check-in. I appreciated her speaking French and slowing it down a bit with me, rather than just responding in English - I need the practice! We appreciated having booked a parking space, as the seafront at Dieppe gets so busy. The room was comfortable, modern and very spacious, completely quiet (no sea view, but we arrived so late it wasn't really relevant.). Good mattress and pillows. Shower was good too. We slept well. I see some other guests have not had good experiences with the breakfast, but (maybe because it was a Monday and quiet) there seemed to be enough of everything we needed - the range of fresh fruit was actually fine. It was a very good place to get a night's rest before heading south. On our way back up two weeks later we used the bar for a quick drink, and the young woman who served us was very friendly.

Helpful staff BUT; No restaurant which was not expected. No warning of this when we booked. Terrible breakfast. There was always a shortage of items such as croissants which would be brought out about 5 at a time. The same problem for bread generally. Selection of fruit was very poor. Room was ok but overall not worthy of a 4 star rating

Good hotel in a great location: a brief walk from the beach and a short walk into the centre. Parking on-site. Dog-friendly. Professional staff. I didn't use the restaurant or the bar, so can't attest to those. Easy to find. I would stay here again.
