Super place to stay in Oviedo. Granted, it’s not in the center of the city, but the walk to the Rita de Vino and the Ciderias is very easy. We received wonderful tips for things to do from the receptionist when we checked in. We don’t normally have the breakfast but because of the location we decided to give it a try! Wow! Awesome! A huge thumbs up to Fati who runs the breakfast kitchen. We loved it! We spent two nights and had a ball. The front desk staff is kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. This is a great place to stay!

Normal Ibis Hotel outside of Oviedo City Centre. Normal Ibis Hotel. Free Parking outside on a muddy area. Breakfast area is way to small as it is for both hotels together. You need to book a time on the day before. Breakfast is way to crowded, chaotic and loud. Staff is not able to keep up with filling items. Quality is not as good as in other ibis hotels. Apart from that its standard ibis.

The hotel is quite adequate, that is, if you are there for sightseeing. No frills, the basics and it works nicely. But, well, the evening staff at the bar/restaurant (2, 20 somethings--males) have some major educating on restaurant service. The first night our bill was missing the wine on our bill---and as a former manager, I immediately brought this to his attention. He and his coworker thought this to be quite funny---not knowing enough Spanish, I didn't quite know what they were saying to each other, but he re-did the receipt to include them. The second night my husband and brother-in-laws meals were not included on the receipt. Also, at one point we wanted to order more drinks, and our table cleared, and waited and waited and waited, finally from where we were sitting, I stood up only to see the two coworkers fully engrossed in a fashion website on the computer! Got his attention after quite a bit---he brought the drinks but our table (both nights) never got cleared before we left. We were pleasant and smiled through both nights thinking it might make a difference, sadly not. We observed others there and their treatment was also the same. I wouldn't want him and his coworker to lose their jobs, but, some MAJOR training in customer service needs to be done. If it wasn't for the restaurant snafu, We would have given this place a solid 4 stars. But, because of the restaurant service issues ONLY, we will only give it a 2.5 out of 5 stars.

All the negative reviews about this delightful hotel are rather unfair. In my opinion, the utilities, service, comfort and cleanliness of our stay and room commensurate with the price that we have been charged. The location is great. We walked from the hotel to the city centre and walked through a few neighbourhoods and got a glimpse of the locals' lives. Parking at the basement of the hotel was very reasonably priced and convenient. Roberto at Front Desk was excellent in every aspect - warm smile, friendly information about the city, and so polite and respectful. Breakfast, to us, was sufficient and varied. We enjoyed it very much, and have no complaints. Being Silver Accor member, we were given welcome drinks but were a bit disappointed that there was only beer or bottled juice or soft drinks. No cocktails, Ibis? Come on, be more generous next time :-)!

Really good experience from start to finish, the beds were really comfortable, the rooms were completely 100% soundproof, I couldn't believe it, Really clean, couldn't do enough for us, staff pleasant, Really good value for what we paid, Good Coffee, good Beer, 24 hour bar, and 24 hour service. Thanks to you all for a wonderful experience. x
