Booked hotel through accor hotel app.

Do to illness we were unable to make it to hotel and cancelled via accor app. Conditions on booking we cancel upto 6pm on night of stay, which we did, however hotel has its own condition separate to accor and charged us for nights accomodation. If you are accor member do not stay hers as they do not adhere to any accor membership conditions - Have emailed and spoke to mansge who does not reply to emails and states that it is Accor problem . DO NOT BOOK TO STAY HERE. DO NOT USE ALL AP TO BOOK

Dirty, run down and very mismanaged – keep away. Our room was dirty. The toilet was filthy with skid marks in the toilet bowl left behind by the previous guests. Not to mention the bathroom stunk of stale urine. There were discarded milk capsules in the bin when we checked in, there were torn bits of sugar wrappers near the microwave that were not cleaned and disposed of. The mini bar fridge was dirty and the freezer section had an iceberg of ice growing out of the freezer unit. The floor was dirty, you left your shoes on the whole time so you would not get your feet dirty. The photo’s on the website are twenty years old, in reality this motel is decayed, dirty and nasty with a premium price tag. The rooms are not sound proofed as advertised, so there is constant noise from the highway and neighbouring rooms. The curtains in the room are too small for the windows which flood the room with light, so you have no sleep quality. The bathroom was dirty, the toiletries were date stamped two years out of date. There were no tissues, no shower caps or ladies sanitary bags provided. There was no compendium with how to contact reception, management after hours or any information provided in case of fire. The breakfast is just appalling. Stale and out of date food, a random bowl of raw grey bacon, room temp long life milk to go with the stale cereal, the bread was stale and rock hard, the peanut butter in the small packet when you opened it up smelt putrid and was solidified and grainy, I have never seen peanut butter like that in my life. The items on offer at the breakfast ‘buffet’ should have been binned a long time ago. The fire alarms in the restaurant were broken and had wires hanging out – see photo. The hotel is a complete disgrace to the Accor brand. Keep away.

Avoid staying at this s..thole at all costs which is by the way in no means cheap (only nasty). The worst hotel I have ever experienced including exposed 240v electrical wiring in the kids bedroom ready for little fingers to zap. Ironically the shower curtain rail is made from yep you guessed it orange electrical conduit! Broken flyscreens allows mozzies and flys to feel right at home amongst the mouldy windows and flaking paint and all that is topped off by a horrble breakfast featuring days old eggs, watery coffee, warm table water, mouldy waffles, expired milk and shrivelled up fruit. Extremely loud plumbing which will wake up the whole family if anyone nearby has a shower and its difficult to sleep with the loud buzzing of the decades old air con unit rumbling on the exterior wall. Dirty carpet, tiring decor and unsafe decking complete the hotel of horrors experience which is complimented by a terrible location right near nothing!

A brief stay at this establishment ment a basic room with the main bed being made of two smalled beds pushed together. Although the room has all the basics you need it is lacking due to a possible refurbishment upgrade all the old fashioned dark wood could be improved. Shower, toilet and washroom areas would be much better cleaned up. The stat was somewhat comfortable although there was a dull humming droning noise to the rear of the property. After drawing open the curtains to see where the noise was coming from I found very dirty windows and an unkempt rear years for a view. I wouldnt stay here for any longer than 1 or two days.

We booked this accommodation purely based on the Ibis name , I wasn’t expecting a lot for $134 a night ,however as a bare minimum I did expect a real spoon and perhaps a microwave in the room ( because the restaurant is currently closed) the one spoon provided was a small disposable wooden spoon , something I have never ever seen in any motel anywhere, the hotel is quite dated and is also on a very busy road , there is lots of accommodation choices in Albany so I would not stay here again
