Far superior to UK Ibis hotels

If IBIS hotels in the UK were this quality I'd stay in them rather than opting for Premier Inns. The rooms in Hamilton are not large but clean, bright with new furniture and bathrooms and we got a comfortable bed, air con, tea,coffee, hot chocolate and a fridge! Breakfast was good and included eggs cooked to order if requested. Staff were friendly and helpful. 24 hour guest laundry for small charge also a bonus. Re complaints about parking - in the UK we would always expect to pay to park in a City Centre hotel so maybe a cultural difference. We stayed in the hotel 16 years ago and it has improved no end! A lovely stay - thank you!

Stayed here for one night. Excellent experience - staff were fabulous. Rooms good especially as I had one overlooking the river. Had a drink before dinner on the balcony which was excellent. Breakfast in the morning was fabulous - there was lots of choice for everyone!

The room had a great view of the river and the bed was comfortable. It was an ok place to stay for 2 nights. On the downside they only offer valet parking for an extra charge, there's a train that uses the roadway bridge next to the hotel that might keep some people up, one of my bath towels had a 2 inch hole in it and a clump of hair stuck to it (ewww), and when I went to checkout someone had charged their bar drink to my room, but the staff did void the charge since I hadn't even visited the bar and was adamant that there had been a mistake.

Good enough hotel. Positives: -gym -location -friendly staff Negatives: -no proper shampoos or soaps offered (instead, a large bottle of ghastly ‘face wash/shampoo/body wash’) -parking is $38 extra -tvs aren’t hooked up to the internet so you can’t use the casting option

Really solid stay, especially for the more budget Ibis brand. Nice and modern hotel, staff were great, rooms were a decent size. Onsite breakfast was good - not great. My only quarm would be the typical NZ budget hotel shower / bathroom that were small and felt a little cheap.
