Absolutely terrible place to stay. Filthy and stinky rooms, no hot water in the shower, no shampoo. Air conditioning barely moving warm air. Avoid ruining your night here!

The hotel Ibis is very close to the airport, the ambiance is very good. The staff was supportive. There was no electric cattle in the room, one small refrigerator. Also no locker in the room. The breakfast was good with different variety of juices, fruits, vegetables and cereals along with tea and coffee. Hotel Ibis also offered free airport drop. Also gym facility available starting from 8 AM.

Unprofessional, unethical, irresponsible !

Absolutely horrible experience with Ibis ! I am an Accor member and I booked a room for myself after I arrived by air in the morning and finished a full tour here in Cotonou via the ALL app. Also, my booking was not refundable and was shown on the app that it was paid. When I reached the hotel, the front desk person told me in a straight face that, sir I see your reservation but we don’t have a room for you today. I was like, and ? He said no room for you. I have then shown his my reservation, my app confirmation suggesting the room has been paid. But he claims that no the room was not paid and there is nothing he could do. Then he just gave me the hotel manager’s (Luc) email and ask me to write to him. After a long day, I was tired, this situation to me, especially booked via their official app, was truly unheard of. Also the front desk person just gave me, don’t look at me look and asked me to find another hotel myself. This was truly unprofessional and there was no apology from the start to the end. I am still verifying whether my credit card has been charged for this booking. But this experience was OMG, truly not responsible and not putting their customer first. Thus, I hereby share my terrible experience with them and hopefully it will not happen to you if you wish to book with them.

The location is the best feature of this place. However, you can't walk to the airport, you still need to rely on their shuttle service, which for me arrived very late when I was already about to hop on a taxi: very disappointing first impression! The room was small but clean. The breakfast quite nice, with excellent chocolate pastries. The WiFi is horrible, as it kept disconnecting.

Very Poor Customer Care, small rooms and ill mannered staff. However, one do enjoy the vicinity and facilities of Novotel hotel since ibis is situated in its premises, that’s a Plus Besides the NO CARE attitude, Ibis Cotonou in particular doesn’t care to oblige All Accor members, Accor membership benefits means nothing to ibis apparently. I had my reservations, done online via Accor App cancelled by ibis on multiple occasions for no reason. Accor however do help in following up with the hotel, but one has to go thru the trouble of having a backup plan as iBis may ask the guest to leave anytime. All Accor shall remove ibis Cotonou from its membership to say the least
