Great Company Christmas Party Night!

Just a quick thank you for everything! Our company Christmas Party went really well and everyone had such a great time, everyone commented on how lovely the food was too. This is the second time we've held our company Christmas Party with the Mercure Box Hill Burford Bridge Hotel and again, nothing was too much trouble from confirming the booking through to the event day itself. Katie Glaze was superb with coordinating our event from start to finish to ensure everything was in place and the staff on the day of the event were extremely helpful too. Thanks for a great party night!

My family booked Christmas Day Lunch at the Burford Bridge Hotel. We had a wonderful day, the staff and service were excellent. The food was delicious and plentiful. The attention to detail made for a wonderful day. We will definitely be back soon.

Relaxing stay New Years Eve 2024

My wife and I had a one night stay at this wonderful hotel on New Year’s Eve 2024. We found the hotel to be very comfortable for our short stay and the and staff we met were excellent. Our room was smart and spotless and we particularly enjoyed having a drink in the cosy hotel bar complimented by a lovely roaring log fire. Special thanks to Mani and Adam (behind the bar) for their kind assistance. I thoroughly recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay at any time of the year.

Restaurant and bar area were all very good, and food was excellent. However, upstairs is in need of attention and our bedroom had a damp smell with wallpaper coming loose from the wall dividing the bathroom and bedroom. Unfortunately, the staff were the biggest let down, in particular the front of house. Having thought the hotel had pre-booked taxis for us to attend a wedding at midday on the saturday, it turned out they hadn't despite providing email confirmation to say they had. Queried this on 3 seperate occasions (twice friday evening, once saturday morning)with 3 different members of staff not having a clue, to finally be told we should phone the taxi company (who had no record of a booking). We also got charged for 4 breakfasts each for my wife and I on both mornings, although this has subsequently been refunded. At one of the breakfasts, I requested a fried egg which appeared over 20 minutes later after I had finished and the table had been cleared. Other family guests had pre-booked breakfast, but the staff had no record of this at all. So in summary, a dissapointing stay which I believe could be drastically improved with some better trained staff.

I shall investigate the smell you have mentioned and review the wallpaper, thank you for bringing this to our attention I am sorry it has been missed. I can confirm two separate members of the hotel team spoke with the taxi company, making and confirming your bookings, unfortunately the local taxi drivers. Our learning from your experience will be that we should put guests in direct contact with the taxi company so that they may liaise on a one to one basis. I can see that you added four breakfasts via a pre-stay email, this request was submitted as per day and not over the course of the stay. Whilst many hotel guests are joined by visitors for breakfast it would have been prudent for my team to investigate. Thank you for your feedback we have taken a great deal from it

We got married at Burford Bridge Hotel last month (October 2024) and had the best day ever thanks to the Wedding Coordinator Kiki and the fantastic team. Why we would recommend Burford Bridge: - THE VENUE: Is in "An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty". The surrounding area is stunning and the hotel has beautiful gardens overlooking Box Hill. The Tithe Barn is a gorgeous, rustic setting for the day. The Tithe Barn also has its own bar and private areas for wedding guests. There is a large getting ready room for the bridal party to use on the morning of the wedding, and the staff surprised us by bringing up breakfasts and drinks for everyone! - THE HOTEL: We wanted a barn wedding, and having the hotel on site too was a real bonus. Our wedding was on Saturday, but we stayed at the hotel for 3 nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). Many of our family/friends had to travel to attend our wedding, and they also stayed at the hotel. The rooms are spacious and there's a good breakfast in the mornings. Having all of the set up/wedding ceremony and reception/hotel rooms etc all in one place took the stress out of the day. - THE TEAM: The whole team at Burford Bridge were so accommodating. They were flexible and nothing was too much trouble. The communication was great: from booking, to the delicious menu tasting, answering my thousands of questions via email! The staff put many personal touches into our day. Special thanks to Kiki and Mary. - THE DAY: The day went off without a hitch, thanks to the staff taking care of everything. They ensured the day ran smoothly from start to finish, which meant we could relax and fully enjoy our day. We would 100% recommend Burford Bridge Hotel.
