This “luxury” hotel was an absolute disgrace from start to finish. The room we checked into was covered in mould, debris and chipped furnishings. Our meals at the hotel restaurant arrived 40 minutes apart, meaning one diner finished well ahead of the other. And to top it all off, we were double charged for the hotel booking after we checked out. A stressful, awful experience from beginning to end.

Very expensive for what's on offer (but great location)

I was very disappointed with this MGallery hotel, after staying in a few MGallery establishments in South-East Asia. The decor was washed out, the room (standard) we stayed in although spacious, had a concrete wall as a view from the balcony. There was no outdoor furniture either, so we could not sit outside. You also needed a PhD to operate the airconditioning panel. Although we had two queen sized beds in the room, there was only one armchair provided - not the best solution... The pool at the top of the hotel was tiny compared to photos on the net and there were no sun umbrellas at all provided - so you better bring your own sunscreen (and plenty). We were both very disappointed that although advised the hotel in advance that we are celebrating one milestone (60th birthday) and a past birthday (2 days prior), we were unable to be upgraded - although the check in customer services suggested for addition almost AUD80, we could get a room on the higher floor, with no ocean view (not worth it). Another thing to mention - out of two restaurants at the hotel, you can only use your AllAccor card in one - and they don't mention this on the hotel website, so you have to make your own research - which did put a (further) dent in our birthday celebrations. The good things? The bed was very comfortable, the quilt just as perfect and there was a selection of pillows. The view from the pool deck was fantastic and if you were lucky enough to book a room with an ocean view (we didn't as it was almost double in price). The hotel also put some effort into sustainability (no more tiny bottles of shampoo, conditioner and hand lotion). Whether I would return to this hotel? Not in a hurry.

Nice clean, tidy and well-appointed hotel on the beach. Restaurant(s) are good and affordable. Staff were helpful and friendly. Easy access to surrounding tourist sites, cafes, sporting venues, etc. Valet parking at a reasonable price.

Manly Pacific Hotel Sydney is an Accor group hotel. Located on the Manly sea front near all shops and retail. One hotel restaurant and a new Italian restaurant but is independent. Rooftop pool and spa. Rooms clean and plenty of natural light.

Great central location, right on the beach! Close to all the amenities, bars and restaurants right on your doorstep. Rooms a good size with a big full bathroom, separate bath with a shower cubicle. Easy (less than 10 min) walk to the wharf for the ferry to Sydney that’s runs regularly (the fast ferry has a bar on board if interested)!
