We have stayed many times over many years . We have never experienced this attitude before & the ignorance of the staff We stayed during the pandemic & before pandemic times The staff were fabulous Now ????? We sat in lounge & got clapped Rapid rapid now table but when we rushed like children we were ignored Waiting waiting waiting What was the rush ????

The hotel is in an ideal position close to facilities yet in a quiet location. Good evening meal at the restaurant. Spotlessly clean spacious room, beds were very comfortable and friendly and attentive staff

Nice hotel but does not merit 4 stars. Restaurant food average, paper cups in the rooms for tea/coffee, some reception staff indifferent when it comes to customer facing. Such a pity as it is centrally located and well presented.

Excellent hotel with a garage though there's plenty of parking around. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Great location for the town centre. Had a very good meal in the Rotisserie restaurant, there was something for everyone. The staff were exceptional and made us feel very comfortable.

This is a disappointment. Tired doesn’t begin to describe this hotel, it’s also not very clean (being polite) if there had been somewhere else we would have moved. Definitely doesn’t uphold the Accor brand. Grumpy, poorly trained staff, everything was an effort - apart from the absolutely lovely Bev who retires soon and I dread to imagine the state of this hotel without her. Mercure in name but not in reality. Accor - spend the money and do the upgrade and pay for some decent staff!
