This hotel downgrades the SOFiTEL name to a 2 stars hotel. Personnel absent, no valuable restaurant (only self service), halls and corridors dirty, furniture worn out, decoration of a past area, no newspapers, no shops, no service.

By far the worst hotel stay of my life and I travel for a living. The service was was really poor, bad communication from staff, careless behaviour and unwillingness to help. The bed had a massive dip in it which meant I couldn't sleep well and woke up with a bad back. The breakfast was very minimal and poor and also full of flies. I was promised a welcome gift for being a Diamond member but received nothing. The leadership team at this hotel simply do not care. To top things off, I was double charged with my points and money and was told I could not get a refund for at least 2-3 months. If you want to be truly shocked at how a 5-star hotel could be so bad, this is your place.

As a property is one of the best honestly . We had a bad experience with the below points : 1- Fatima at the reception , she did not welcome us and she was forced to do a check in for us additionally she did the payment without explanation 2-there is no housekeeping Number , we had to go throw reception and never came back to us 3-No concierge to ask 4-No cares for covid situation, no masks or sanitizer provided

The Sofitel Agadir hotel offers a luxurious and very atypical setting for those looking for high standard comfort around a beautiful swimming pool accessible on a beautiful beach. The rooms are nicely furnished. Restaurant service is very good but could be improved to meet Accorhotels usual standards. As a "Diamond" member, I unfortunately did not feel that this privilege counted, in comparison with other hotels of the same chain. That said, overall, I will return with pleasure to have a good time.

Мы были приятно удивлены уровню сервиса . Мы понимаем что это высокий уровень отеля но ниже того в которых мы привыкли останавливаться . И обычно на море менее вышколенный персонал . И каково было наше изумление когда вы были встречены персоналом так внимательно и четко относящегося ко всем нашим просьбам и даже предвосхищающие иногда их .

we came for a seaside break in February, the staff are very pleasant and the hotel is well situated BUT The beach was out of bounds due to Covid The swimming pool area was like a building site The superior room had the smallest bathroom with only a walk in shower which was dangerous as the floor had no anti slip mat or tiling There was no dressing table just a small shelf beside a mirror ,no chair to sit on whilst putting on make up . An area not designed by a woman obviously ,room 109 The dining room menu did not change and the service there was erratic, this at at a time when nobody could leave the hotel at night to eat elsewhere due to the curfew

A little gateway in October to the lovely and sunny city of Agadir. Overall a nice stay, great location with an access to the beach, we couldn't enjoy the pool as it was full with people, but there's a second one under construction, I'm sure it'll add more beauty to the hotel. Only downside is the food and the service at the restaurant, it was mediocre and not suitable at all for the Sofitel brand. Beside that, the staff were really nice and attentive to every request. Hats off to them for respecting and applying the safety measure.

Hotel is situated at the very end of the crescent beach in a quiet area but far from attractions, restaurants and shops. Architecture inside and outside very beautifull. Staff at reception, breakfast-room and pool offer excellent service. Servicing of rooms is somewhat slow. Diner in Moroccon speciality restaurant was not exciting.

Excellent staff members. They made my sister and I feel very welcome and made our trip very enjoyable by recommending local places to visit. Farah El Fkhar was thoughtful and kind at all times and was happy to assist whenever we asked! Abdellotif was very kind and helped us out numerous times! He even went out to purchase a hand-made souvenir for us when we were running late for our flight back to London - thank you! we are very grateful for that! Also, other staff members including Fatima, Noura, Bacha, Mohammed, Hassna and Mustapha were very kind and always helped out when needed. The rooms were clean and facilities were splendid. The only thing I would recommend the hotel to improve on is the food they serve. The food served looks great but lacks the authentic Moroccan taste which was found within the restaurants in the city centre. Overall, the journey was marvellous due to the people who were there! You've employed excellent human beings that truly take care of the hotel and their guests. Will come again!

housekeeping was very poor despite several complaints. the last day of my stay the room hadn't been done again at 5 pm 3days of 4 i had to complain at the reception that the room hadn't been done. this is not acceptable in such a hotel

The Thalassa Sea & Spa is a very nice Sofitel-level hotel. Clean, confortable and quiet; perfect for "getting away from it all". Excellent for those who don't really need to go into town; everything you need is right there, including direct acces to the beach. Carefull, there are two Sofitels in Agadir situated side-by-side, on the ocean front. On extended stays, you may wish to pop over to the other Sofitel for added variety in reastaurants or entertainment. Staff are efficient and friendly yet discreet (they don't overdo it). Special mention for Mounir, who was always making sure all was well.

After arriving at the hotel and taking money from the car before the bell boy (man) parked the rental car. The bell man decided the money in my hand was his tip... it was not. I let this go as an error on his part and it was only 20dirams.... but it was not his tip he just took it out my hand. After that the gentleman on reception decided to “ double upgrade” us for no reason. We waited over an hour for them to prepare the “prestigious suite”. Once it was ready we were led there. Nothing was explained regarding restaurants in the hotel, where the spa was, room service menu was not in the room, the shower essentials were not stocked, the towels were wet and damp!, the room had nothing in English... we are from England we do not speak French. There was paint peeled off the wall all over the floor on the balcony area too. That evening we got dressed up to eat at the hotel. We went downstairs and I asked which restaurant in the hotel would be nice to eat. After veing led to their “palace of Jordan reataurant” we were ignored all evening by the worst maitre de in the history of service. We received the most plain, bland, tasteless, badly prepared food I’ve ever eaten in my life. The maitre de refused to call a manager of the hotel, didn’t pour our drinks, hid her name from me when I asked for it and left us eating in crumbs from the bread we were first served. My thumbs hurt from how much I have written, but I need to try and deceive the awful service from no one speaking English properly, terrible housekeeping and an overall terrible and worst hotel experience I have ever, ever had.

It was a lovely weekend in Agadir, the city, the weather and the hotel were all perfect. It is a pity that there was no many tourists in Agadir, everyone goes to Marrakech.I asked when booking, when checking in and the same day for a late check out but I was told I have to empty the room at 12:00 because guests were expected to check in. Too bad since the hotel was clearly empty!

Hotel pool area was occipied by sea bird which keep pool as their own pool. Every morning all side of pool where full of bird drop, and by default also pool water.Looks like pool tiles were ok 10 years ago however now huge parties of tiles were missing and pool did not look attractive.Last point happend on check out as small bottle (0,35) of champage costs 90USD and price wasn't on the minibar pricelist !!! not nice

On first impressions looked a lovely hotel. Check in was nice but slightly long winded after traveling most of the day. My room was clean & comfortable, however house keeping did enter my room once without knocking even when the do not disturb sign was lit at the door? I was in the bathroom at the time....No food or drink brought from outside the hotel could be brought onto the premises, mine was confiscated immediately, I have stayed in hotels all over the world and never ever come across this before, there is nothing close by to the hotel so you either pay for a taxi or pay the hotel prices for their food & drink, your choice?Good selection at breakfast time & very well presented.The hotel facilities were ample although maintenance is required with the mosaic tiling in the pool at least 25% in the pool tiles were missing.Staff were very polite at all times & very helpful. I feel this is more of an adult focused hotel & not as suitable for children. All in all this was not the hotel for me therefore I will not be returning.

Thanks for room upgrade to suite.It was very good experience. Good service, nice staffs and good food. But I killed 2 cockroaches and found familes of red ants around complimentary fruits and snacks in my room. Need more attention to cleaness of rooms.
