Communication before arrival was excellent. My husband had made a special request for recognition of my birthday, Madam Meryem went above and beyond! Arrival was excellent and warm. All the staff were very polite, happy to help and courteous. We received an upgrade to the Junior Suite, and this was much appreciated. It is beautiful. The hotel is clean, restaurant has great buffet breakfast and plenty of seating. Heated pool is lovely, lots of places, hidden away and open to sit and relax. The beach area is well cared for. We received a beautiful decorated bed on arrival, and also another display for the birthday eve. The cake was much appreciated and everything was perfect! Thank you for a wonderful experience and we cannot wait to come again! I have nothing but praise! Taxi’s are easy to get from the hotel and the exchange rate at the hotel is also excellent. Thank you especially to breakfast staff who made me a lovely hot chocolate daily, even though the machine does not make them. You really made me feel special the whole trip!

We were two friends needing a break for different reasons. I was still grieving the loss of my husband and my friend had been working hard under pressure, The hotel was perfect for us, quiet & peaceful with a great choice of places to relax. Hideaways around the pool, and a Beach Bar restaurant, made a stunning setting. The buffet food was exceptional as were all the restaurant staff, every person was so friendly. You could see they all worked so well together; great camaraderie with an enthusiastic manager. We didn’t eat in the Spanish a la carte restaurant but enjoyed cocktails there every night, it was so warmly decorated with an open fire. The waiter in here, Ilias, deserves a special mention for his extremely professional service and happy disposition. Our rooms were well designed, spacious and comfortable Every person we met, from the professional security doormen, Reception and Room Service, were excellent ambassadors for Sofitel. We are planning on returning, it was for us a perfect hotel in a perfect location in Agadir. .

Clean and quiet hotel, we booked bed and breakfast and the breakfast was great. Lots of choice and high quality food. We visited the Spanish restaurant on our first night and was served by Ilias, he was attentive, polite, knowledgeable and a pleasure to speak to. He is the reason we went back every night of our trip. We used the spa which was clean and tidy, I had a massage which was lovely. Would recommend this hotel.

On checking in our luggage- it failed to arrive so after an hour we went down to collect it. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Please note do not waste extra on booking a luxury room - they are all the same - only the luxury room was in the ground floor with better access and views of the gardens. Another aspect we did not expect was the high cost of alcohol at the hotel- £7 for bottle of beer and £ 10 for a glass of wine or £ 25 for a bottle of wine. We unfortunately chose half board but I would recommend bed & breakfast as truly the evening meal was poor quality and the food barely warm. And there is a wide choice of great eateries locally. All the staff were friendly and professional and breakfast choice was good (buffet style) On a positive - the hotel has chilled vibes great decks and lounging areas and great access to the beech which is great for surfing. Apparently the hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment which will improve the reception area and service. Agadir souk in the centre of town is worth a visit and can just about anything from herbal Viagra, jewellery, handbags, to getting your hair braided. The choice is yours! Agadir is still worth a visit and great for a short break.
