Overpriced family hotel

We spent 2 nights with 2 couples without children during the Eid Al Ada break in June 2024. Amazing swimming pool and amazing location. Staff quite helpful and friendly. Good Internet. Absolute no-go: a 4 star hotel serving plastic tableware and plastic straws, which are banned in the UAE. It is incomprehensible why the Mercure hotel still uses them. Very loud environment, with metal chairs in the restaurants sliding over the stone floor. No nice bar or restaurant to escape from the heat and just sit back to read a book or surf on your phone. Entire installation is quite worn out, with limited investment being done recently. Cocktails are very diluted, with nearly no buzz, and therefore too expensive. Overall it was overpriced (800 AED per night including breakfast).

This hotel is on an amazing property high atop a mountain overlooking the entire city of Al Ain. It's a nice enough property with an amazing view but in desperate need of an update. It was apparently built in the 80s and definitely is showing its age. The decor is very dated. The rooms are comfortable enough but feel old and the bathrooms feel very 80s as well. The staff was nice, and the buffet breakfast was pretty good. Not a bad stay but the hotel could use a facelift.

It is an OK place yet expensive

We booked two adjacent rooms. Nothing major to complain about but for the price , one expects to get a better experience. The rooms are old, the flush in the toilet was not functioning well. The food was ok. They have an open buffet for lunch and dinner but the food is repetitive

One of the best experiences I've ever had is the 5 days experience I had in Mescure Hotel in Al Ain above Jubil Hafeet. Mecure Hotels excel in delivering a seamless experience with well-appointed rooms, diverse culinary offerings, and inviting swimming pools. Their services, encompassing attentive concierge assistance and modern amenities, cater to the needs of both business and leisure travelers. A well appointed hotel in a spectacular location

I found some of the reviews difficult to believe .For the price charged it is excellent .The room was spacious with very good towels and linen .A fantastic view of Al Ain and a splendid swimming area .We enjoyed the restaurant food at breakfast and dinner .The staff were very friendly and helpful .An issue with most places is the litter left by clients .It wasn’t too bad here but it needs picking up regularly but staff in the pool area don’t seem to seeing or the plastic waste over the fence ! We will definitely return .
