The worst Hotel experience I've ever had. When my 64 year old mother and I checked in we were given the wrong room according to our booking, then relocated to another room that had a broken air conditioner. When we confronted reception they said they were unable to relocate us because they were full and I explained that we could not sleep in a hot room without air conditioning and that it wouldn't have happened had we been given the correct room for our booking to start with. We had No choice but to leave and find somewhere else to stay on New Years. When I contacted the booking agency (Wotif) for a refund the Property Manager of the Ibis Hotel Coffs Harbour and staff refused to give me a refund of $432. They screwed up my booking and expected me to stay in a room with broken facilities which were unbearable and still insisted on keeping my money.

Unbelievably The Worst Hotel my wife and I have ever stayed in. The room we were allocated was small, no room to swing a Cat. Only one coat hanger, two towels that you couldn't call bath towels, no hand towel, no soap to wash your hands after using the toilet. When using what they call a shower it's diagonal shaped and it floods the bathroom floor. Also the noise from the pub at weekends is loud and goes on until at least 1am. When I complained to the receptionist she just said that's what you get for $179 and smiled.

Just booked overnight. The photos on the website are made to look so much better than how it actually is. Dirty entrance/lobby and disturbing to see all the windows of rooms on the ground floor have security cage windows. I know it is classed as a budget hotel, but being part of the “Accor brand”, I did expect a bit better especially cleanliness. The rooms are extremely small and carpet filthy, stained and sticky so had to wear shoes in the room. No bedside tables, just a queen bed taking up 90% of the room and very uncomfortable saggy mattress. The hotel is very noisy and not soundproof so you can hear people talking and TV’s in other rooms, especially late night and early morning. The bathroom was ridiculously small and had a dirty stained toilet which desperately needed a bottle of bleach, cracked and chipped basin and no shower screen so when you have a shower, the water goes all over the floor and floods the bathroom. Very poor. Staff member on the desk at check out was rude and needs to learn about customer service. Do not recommend at all. ☹️

Booked for a queen with 2 bunks but assigned with one overhead bunk only without prior agreement. Booked with AC but given a fan. Tried opening window to get some sleep from the breeze but got visitors from the flying world. Terrible night. Best experience was interacting with helpful staff.

Paid $199 for the night and it was no where near value for money. Noisy & cramped. Chock full of young families and the kids were enjoying the pool so we had lots of laughter around us. Pub next door had doof doof music until late and then yahoos in the carpark. Definitely not a restful night while road tripping.
