You get what you pay for. It’s very cheap, it was 100 bucks a night. Bedroom was ok, but it smelled like there were dogs in there before. Quite old, bathroom with shower with plastic curtain, water goes everywhere… but it had air con, so that was a plus.

My own fault for not booking my return trip earlier, so I was left with very little choice at a decent price. Though once I saw the room, I would have paid the extra $50 to stay where I did on my way down to NSW (it was so much better). One seat in the room, I didn't really want to have a shower the area was so awful. Paint peeling, the hotel is old and tired, the bed hard. No soap in the bathroom. No lifts. Good points, close to the pub which had a good dinner and beer. The receptionist was nice and helpful on arrival.

WELL DONE ! The difference was highly noticeable since my last stay Very clean rooms, and the Receptionist last on 15th October evening was very friendly and assisting me to chose the perfect room - Back to a 'GREAT PLACE TO STAY "

Honestly don't know where to start. I needed a small fridge for medication I was taking at the time. There was no fridge in the room, despite the room being advertised online as having a small fridge. So we went downstairs and checked at reception. 'Oh fridges have been removed' was the 'helpful' reply. I answered that I needed a fridge and had booked the room based on advertised info.....there was a definite shrug of the shoulders. We were told we could use the communal fridge in the corridor, but when you opened the door, other guests had stuffed so many bags in there, there was no room and I doubt the fridge would work it was so full! I was also reluctant to put medication in a fridge easily accessible to children. The room was small, but acceptable. Apart from a double bed and bunk bed, there was only one stool for sitting. The 'table' was a triangular bench on the wall in the corner of the room. It was only large enough for 2 mugs, 2 glasses and an electric kettle. The curtain rail was falling down and curtains hung to one side and allowed light in in the morning. The bathroom was smaller than a normal toilet space. The shower cubicle was a tiny, curtained corner of the bathroom with very poor water runaway so shower water flooded the bathroom and ran into the room. Absolutely, nowhere in the bathroom to put dry clothes to change after showering, except for the top of the cistern or the closed toilet! Nowhere to place a wet pack bag, except in the sink. Mould in the shower and bathroom ceiling. No clothes hanging space except for a few coat hangers on the end of the bunk bed, which you knocked every time you got out of the double bed....there was no space between double bed and bunks. Oh, and speaking of the bunks...they were not made. The sheets were laying on the mattresses waiting for guests to do the job! I was beginning to think we were in an episode of Fawlty Towers! Breakfast was forgettable, but there was a lovely cheerful lady at reception in the morning, which was the reason I gave the place one star! I think you see the picture! It was a joke...hence the reference to Fawlty Towers It was definitely budget, but not so economical. I looked online just after we arrived and we could have stayed nearby for $5 more...and that motel had a fridge! All in all, it was awful. My husband booked this motel based on it being an ACCOR motel. Shame on ACCOR for being associated with this dump.

Overall, we had a good experience with the Ibis in Coffs Harbour. You get what you pay for, so the room and bathroom is pretty basic. The TV didn't work and there was a dripping tap, but earplugs easily drowned out the noise. We arrived late on a greyhound bus, and the location was brilliant, couldn't be closer to the bus stop! Unfortunately, there was an issue with late check in as we have a UK number and so they did not contact us with late check in information. We had to call a few times and after we eventually got through to them on the phone, they said they couldn't call UK numbers- just something to be aware of as I'm not sure what we would have done if we didn't get through. We were able to store our bags however we had to show the lady on reception the message from the other member of staff to prove that they said we could, so I wouldn't rely on it. The lady on reception when we came back to pick up our bags was much more welcoming and let us sit in reception until our bus arrived. It takes about 40 minutes to walk down to the harbour, but there is a shopping centre nearby.
