Where to begin? This is easily the best and highest quality spa/resort experience I’ve ever had. The staff is incredibly kind, attentive and professional, the accommodations are top-notch, the entire experience is one of luxury, pampering, and relaxation. To be honest, I feel a little guilty and embarrassed to be enjoying myself so much in these incredible surroundings with these incredible people And at the same time this place employees hundreds of Cambodians. I did not expect to fall in love with Cambodia, but to my surprise I am and I have. An amazing culture and an amazing hotel. It is by far a top notch, five star experience.

Wow - The staff and service are what makes this place incredible. We think possibly the best customer service experience we've had in a hotel. Whilst checking in we were officially welcomed by 3 different staff including Ken Keun (Front Office Manager). We received an Upgrade from Luxury Room, Terrace to Junior Suite. Our welcome gift was a bouquet of flowers, a bowl of fruit and then a few days later we received 2 Cambodian scarves. Throughout our stay we were often greeted as Mr & Mrs Brown and usually didn’t have to mention our room number as the staff remembered us. Of notable mention were Sokhurn and Run Heang (makes an awesome Margarita 🍸) from Club Millesime and Sokha from the Citadel. Sokha has been at the hotel since it opened in 2000 & Run Heang has been there for 18 years. This to me shows it’s a great place to work, where staff are valued and this is clearly evident in the wonderful customer service experience. AccorPlus discount is available at Citadel however no discount at Mouhot's Dream Restaurant, Explorer's Tales - Champagne Bar or the pool bar (which I think pool is pretty standard). Welcome drinks were in the Explorer's Tales - Champagne Bar and included a range of classic and specialty cocktails. We enjoyed the evening cocktails and canapes in the Club Millésime where there was a great variety of hot and cold canapes. Complimentary buffet breakfast was served in Citadel and was a range of Western & Asian dishes plus pastries. The pool is huge and has ample sun lounges and umbrellas. Staff often deliver food and drinks via bicycle. This hotel has a high level of detail to ensure the gardens and surrounds are beautiful and well maintained. Throughout our stay there was a large conference with attendees staying in house, plus on two days there was a 300+ group for lunch however neither of these had a major impact on us. A portion of the pool area was set up for outdoor dining for the conference on two nights, we were advised of this prior, given the size of the pool it really did not impact our stay as there is ample room. The hotel is only a short ride into Pub Street and the old quarter. It was an ideal location for us to be away from the noise and relax on our last few days of holidays. Late check out received - 2:30pm I would certainly recommend this hotel to family and friends and hope to visit again in the future.

We met with Srey Peou Nang (Ms.) Director of Sales at Sofitel who gave her time showing us around the Hotel, with much passion and knowledge of her many years of service and experience at Sofitel. She showed us around the gardens which offer guests the luxury of having such splendour and grandeur experiencing the history of this fabulous hotel, which numerous famous people have stayed. The hotel is immaculate, stunning artefact's, gardens, restaurants, various places to sit outside enjoying the ambiance with an eclectic array of choices for drinks and a variety of activities. Champagne lounge is stunning, staff are friendly, smartly dressed and polite. The hotel has an aromatic atmosphere and worth a visit 100%.

It begins with an AWSOME FRAGRANCE in the lobby. Woodsy, spicy, cinnamon-y. That fragrance brought a smile and a 'welcome home' feeling to me every time I passed through the front door. A truly wonderful hot and and exceptional visit in December...The hotel spreads out on a large campus, with lots of green spaces, public art, pools, and smart landscapes. The small outdoor patio on my room and outdoor corridors between buildings helped me to enjoy this special resort even more. Clean, spacious rooms. Extra comfortable bed and linens. Excellent restaurant(s) and a genuinely friendly/ helpful staff made my stay at Sofitel Pokeethra a memorable one. It was my favorite accommodation during a three week trip in Vietnam and Cambodia. Location in Siem Reap was comfortable and convenient. I visited restaurants and shops on foot, and did tourism sites further out with tuktuk, tour bus, and bicycle. Do not miss: 1. An evening walk around the campus with an eye towards finding geckos 2. A half day at the large comfortable pool, for swim, sun, and lounge 3. Rent bikes at concierge and ride straight to the temples of Angkor Wat (need to purchase a ticket for the site) I would HIGHLY recommend this Sofitel property, for these and many other reasons. I hope to visit Cambodia again, and will look forward to a future stay at this beautiful resort.

This is a stunning resort. Top notch breakfast, amenities, and the pool is wonderful. The grounds are breathtaking. Service was fabulous. Come here for a luxurious experience with such courteous staff. And did I mention the wonderful food?
