This hotel was picked for us as part of a combined 3 week tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. Ambience - beautifully presented in all areas. Spacious, plenty of common areas to relax with a book or chat with new friends. Lovely artwork and statues in the gardens. Rooms - spacious. Comfortable and very large bed! Could’ve done with a plug socket on both sides of the bed. Lovely gift of 2 traditional scarves. Well fitted bathroom with Asian style toilet shower head. Restaurant - we ate a couple of times in The Citadel restaurant and had excellent food and service. Breakfast, plenty of choice , Asian, continental, full English. Swimming Pool - too humid to sunbathe by the pool but we enjoyed a couple of swims and the swim up bar was very welcome !

We have just completed a 5 night stay at here and I have to say that we were blown away with every aspect of our stay. From arrival we were treated like absolute royalty and the staff are, without exception, incredibly polite, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel itself is utterly beautiful, the grounds are impeccably kept and the pool area is huge and stunning. We have been lucky enough to stay in some amazing hotels all over the world but this is right up there especially considering it is a city hotel. In my opinion the price point is great value as well. It's an incredible base to use to see the sights but make sure you keep a day or two free in your itinerary to simply enjoy the hotel.

What an incredible experience we had at Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra! We had flown for close to 48 hours and immediately upon arrival we were treated with the utmost care. The entire staff worked very hard to make sure we were comfortable and happy. The food at The Citadel is incredible and we really enjoyed the sustainability practices - they make banana bread from the brown bananas and marmalade from the orange peels left over from the juicer. We loved the floral team and all of the fresh flowers everywhere, from the room to the lobby. We also throughly enjoyed afternoon tea at the Champagne Bar, expertly served by Lucien. The presentation was some of the best we’ve ever seen. We had wonderful massages at the spa, which helped us to relax and recover from travel. Special thanks to Visoth San at the Citadel restaurant who went above and beyond on our last day to make our breakfast special. This easily became one of our favorite hotels in the world and was a memorable stay.

Very luxurious, you should spend a week here, 2 if you can.

I wish I had more time to spend simply at this Hotel. The pool was grand and the pool bar would serve you food and drinks, so in the humidity, we were able to eat in a very comfortable atmosphere. The rooms are big and luxurious. The food served all round had lots of variety and was good. I wanted a whole day to stay in the Champagne bar! I didn't make it to the Spa, but can imagine it fits the standards of this hotel and staff. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout.

Luxury in nature- a hotel of the highest level!

What a treat to spend 3 days in the serene beauty of this resort. We loved the attention to detail- starting with the sublime fragrance of the lobby and especially the warm welcome from every single member of the staff!! The breakfast buffet is amazing. The spa was delightful. The music in the champagne bar, so relaxing.. I could go on and on.
