Ibis Budget have changed from Bottom ,Top sheet and duvet to a rough, scratchy, itchy bottom sheet and duvet so that on hot nights you can no longer sleep under just a sheet, which used to keep the flying insects off your person. This particular hotel has a NON cctv covered car park where my car was bumped with no video to show me 'Who Dun It'.

Excellent location- few minutes walk from town centre and Perigueux is very nice- cathedral and large old town. Ibis budget hotels provide all that e need. We were on motorbikes and could park right outside almost- alongside hotel window. Great stay.
Another good Ibis budget hotel

Another good Ibis budget hotel. Plain and simple, but with everything we needed. Centrally placed for the town, which is a beautiful place to be. Fairly quiet room on 5th floor with no noise from other guests. Safe bike storage very welcome. Friendly and helpful staff. I don't think parking should have to be paid for, but that's a minor point. Tasty and generous breakfast for the money, with plenty of choice.
No air con in a heat wave?

This hotel was quite easy to find with a sat nav and it's location was close to the old town which was what we had visited the town to see with local cafes and bakery close by. The staff were friendly and there were no issues checking in. We had however over-shot the turning to the car park as there were no signs for it and this caused a bit of drama with other more impatient French drivers. The car park was quite small and open air but it had a code controlled security measures which we had to check in before receiving from the hotel. The room was basic and code controlled instead of by key/card which gave a good sense of security, and had a small window but no working air con. We were told when we complained that we were given the car parking for free as the air con was out in the entire hotel, I guess it was just our bad luck that there was no breeze so opening the window didn't work for us. The tv reception seemed to be affected by the heat with some channels cutting in and out but this wasn't anything we felt we could hold the hotel accountable for. Would we stay there again though? ... if not in a heat wave and if the air con was working? Yes, I dare say we would as this proved to be a good base from which to explore the Dordogne region
