No hot water, awful.

Worst ibis I’ve ever stayed in. Completely dated and dusty, stank of cigarettes. Stains everywhere. The front door handle to the hotel was missing. Receptionist wasn’t very welcoming, no information about breakfast that we had booked, when we asked we were told it was served from 6-9am, we ended up not bothering based on the look of the breakfast area. No hot water!! Couldn’t shower because the water was ice cold in both the shower and sink. Dirty waxy earbuds had been left in the room and not cleaned, vile. Our blind was broken so they had attached a clothes hanger as a makeshift way to close the blind which did not then close fully. I would not stay here again.

Worst ibis stay ever

We stayed at this Ibis Budget last night. We have stayed in other Ibis Budget hotels before, but we have never experienced anything like this. When we arrived late in the evening, the receptionist was chatting with a group of children/friends who were waiting for her shift to end so they could hang out together. She did check us in properly, but right after her shift ended she left the hotel with this group. They started playing outside in front of the entrance with a fatbike, riding recklessly, honking, shouting and laughing loudly. This was right next to us while we were unloading our luggage, and it also disturbed hotel guests who were already asleep. Not a very professional impression. The hotel itself was very dirty, especially the common areas and the stairways. We had booked a room with two beds, but only one was made up. The night shift staff had to go and find blankets for us, and I ended up making the second bed myself. This has never happened to us in any other Ibis before. The shower design was also very poor. There was no door, so the entire bathroom got wet, and the shower was so cramped that we kept hitting the controls by accident, which suddenly made the water too hot or too cold. At breakfast, I noticed that a staff member was washing dishes by hand, which seemed very odd for a hotel. Normally, you would expect a dishwasher. All in all, this was a very strange and disappointing stay. Even though it’s a budget hotel, we did not expect this level of unprofessionalism and lack of cleanliness. We will not return to this Ibis Budget.

Advantage is this is straight off the motorway so if you just need a bed xan be a good option. The hotely was a bit shabby a d the rooms small and low quality. There was a general smell of smoke in the hotel. Car parking straight outside so very practical. Did not stay for breakfast.

I did not actually stay there, However my car’s front left tyre literally exploded when it collided with a pavement nearby. I managed to drive my car to their car park and when I realised I would not be able to change the tyre myself, the young lady at reception was much more helpful than I expected. She helped me beyond the time when her shift finished. I was offered coffee and even a towel to dry myself as it was raining fairly heavily. My car is now safely in a local garage thanks to this young lady and a friend of hers that came by.
