Consistently excellent hotel and staff

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years, and have always been impressed with the service the staff provides. No matter what request I have, they are able to satisfy it, and do so graciously. The rooms are nice, although I must admit the suites are especially so. If you can afford one, I'd highly recommend booking it. The dining options are excellent, with a full hot breakfast buffet on offer. I really can't say enough nice things about this property, and consider it to be "my home in Paris".

Front Desk Service is Mid

I don't usually write reviews. My experience was mid to say the least. I can deal with the front desk clerks being selective with their customer service and I can even take their inconvenienced attitude towards being asked for help, but purposely not helping a customer is mindboggling. My mother wanted to make sure we had a ride to the airport, so she asked the front desk the afternoon before if we could schedule to have a taxi the following day around 8:30am. The front desk person said they would do that without issue. The next day, we go down to the front desk and she asks if by chance they had called the taxi for us. The gentleman said 'oh sorry no taxis are running today'. He said there was a taxi strike yet there was no news of there being one. She then asked if there's another way to get to the airport and he says 'I don't know' and walks away. She then asked him if the train or metro line runs and he gave us 'the best route' for the train. It later turned out the metro were actually protesting that day and could have affected the lines he guided us to go on. Shocked by the lack of help, we walked out the front debating if we should run to the metro or take a chance on an Uber when a taxi pulls up to drop someone off. The drive gladly obliged to take us to the airport. Luckily we arrived, along with the rest of the thousands of taxis coming to the airport, in time to catch our plane. Both my mother and I are not rude people and believe in life people help people, so we are still bewildered by the treatment. Overall, we enjoyed Paris and the amazing people who make the city great. However, it is sad experience made by one small clerk. I don't need a follow up with pretty words. I just hope our experience isn't the same for others.

Beautiful hotel Breakfast service runs so smooth with excellent customer service ,we were made to feel so special and welcomed at breakfast Location -multiple restaurants ,pubs,shopping right at the door step Metro station -2-3 mins walk with great connectivity everywhere Family friendly-staff always interacted with our toddler Great spaces to sit around lobby Reception staff always easy to approach and helpful Great checking in experience If we or anyone we know visit Paris again -we won’t be staying anywhere else Only comment - please change carpets on the room they are quite old

Poor house keeping and not up to Pullman standard

Pullman Bercy Overall not satisfied, the house keeping let it down big time. 1. Upon check in, the shelves, worktop were dusty, it’s visible and a layer to be wiped out, and my wife have to do it herself as the child is allergic to dust, not acceptable for not only Pullman standard but any hotel should have cleaned it when it’s clearly visible. 2. The hotel seems to be refurbished at some point as there’s many old obsolete fixtures around. The ceiling paint were peeling off and not very nice to look at. 3. The swimming pool has an one hour per guest rule and need to book in advance, not very easy to plan around when my family book this hotel because we wanted to spend time in the swimming pool. So an hour seems too little. There were a long queue to get in pool and staff clear pool by the hour, so if we turn up say 19.20, you only get 40 min to swim and will be asked to leave. Felt slightly pressured when I want to relax when staying in Pullman for a long swim. 4. The house keeping is not acceptable. Called 10min on phone with no answer, after requested for items, no show for 30 min and require 2nd and 3rd chase and even go down to reception in order to get what you needed. Felt like some very badly managed hotel. The front desk will simply said they thought it was dealt with already… 5. The washing product were never topped up. I stayed in the hotel for 5 days, they never top up automatically and must request and wait for 30 min to be dealt with. My wife was waiting in the shower for shampoo the first time round and ended up waiting for too long and have to come out and wait as it was way too long. And when the body wash ran out the next day, the house keeping came after serval chase, but do not think that it’s empty, as the bottle were stripped on wall, it’s not possible to tell how much it’s left other than keep pumping only only abit comes out every 6-7 pump, I gave more days to stay and must have this sorted out so I have to ask the maintenance guy to take it off physically from the wall to check until he realised two bottles were empty and then he replaced for us. There shall be under no circumstances a housekeeping staff confronting guest like this, just get on with work and check and change it! This is something I would never expect from a Pullman! Totally unacceptable! 6. Also when the housekeeping comes, they just knock once and let themselves in, my wife was in between shower as she was waiting and wasn’t wearing properly, but the man just came in even before we answered. His shoes also bring a lot of dirt inside and the towel by the bath tub were all marked. I understand we can use another towel inside, but the staff doesn’t seems to care in Pullman. My family is upset. If his shoes marked the towel, he can try to replace for us as I understand sometimes it’s unavoidable when it was dirty, but he just walk out after. 7. The key cards kept failing, I have to get card replacement serval times during stay as it fails to let me in room or to operate the lift. It is a recyclable card which is nice, but after going swimming, it’s half deformed and I have to wear my swimming gear to lobby to get a card replacement. 8. But the pool is quite nice, water was warm and I do enjoy swimming there despite the hour slot and over crowded queue. 9. For the bath rope, it was very nice that the house keeping took all our wet rope away, but no new rope been replaced. We have been asking for the 3 ropes replacement when we returned to hotel and caused delayed to our swimming slot. After 20 min we decided not to wait any longer as there’s only one hour pool slot. After we returned from swimming, only one rope was provided. Clearly staff don’t listen and doesn’t care, it’s totally not up to expected Pullman standards. 10. The cup in the room is not clean, the second day when I use the cup for coffee, I noticed the coffee mark ring in the cup from the day before. Obviously the house keeping just gave it a quick rinsed before placing it back on tray, that’s not acceptable for any hotel. 11. The basin and bathtub in room do not drain well, need to wait for water to clear a few time when brushing teeth and constantly standing in inches of water when having a shower. Wonder if the hotel management care the status at all? They charge a lot in peak season but not really getting it right. 12. The breakfast, I saw a fly trapped in the serving box crawling on the cooked fish. I have informed the staff and he had the fly removed by hand. And then closed the lid and left the fish for serving. And I have to ask the staff back and request the food to be replaced which he does after I made the point. Quite concerning with the level of hygiene of food. 13. The house keeping only remove items in the bin, other rubbish like empty used paper cups with coffee stains were left around. I am also into recycling but I don’t think I will reuse the used coffee paper cups and would expect housekeeping clearing them. Also there were metal spoon we used to ate dessert with chocolate and crumbs stuck on it, they were left on the TV table til checkout for 3 days! Does the hotel expect me to wash them? 14. I used the iron board for clothes and ever since it was left out by the window til check out. I expect every day I come back the room is made up in a presentable status similar to how it looks when check in. I don’t understand why Pullman expect otherwise. It looks bad and it’s danger to have the iron out when I have child staying in the room. If Pullman expect guest to pack themselves, I would expect a clear reminder so I know what to expect. The list really goes on and this Pullman experience is not a nice one and I don’t think I would recommend to my friends.

excellent hotel in a lovely area

spent 5 nights here travelling from scotland with wife and teenage children. the hotel provided an excellent base for a superb visit to this amazing city. reception staff very friendly and helpful with the rooms serviced every day. nice leisure facilities to relax and recharge in. and the table tennis and table football facilities are a nice addition. we didn’t eat here but there are a full range of bars and restaurants a short walk away in bercy village. the nearby cour st emilion metro station is currently closed which is a little inconvenient. a very busy replacement bus service for the 14 line is the best public transport option to reach the hotel from gare de lyon station. there is the 24 bus service which stops very near the hotel. this connects to gare de lyon and has the pantheon as its terminus but we found this service a bit unreliable.
