Very nice hotel wiht some great staff, achitecture is really good its fits all your needs, nice swiming pool, good restaurant. Animation team is fantastic whit great team especially Rose and Tamara, lot of fun. My room is very clean.it was a pleasure to stay at Mercure.highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel, occupying 4 rooms from August 29th to September 2nd, 2024. The staff were exceptional, especially Mr. Maged Mohamed at the front desk, who was incredibly helpful and welcoming. The food was delicious, and the restaurant team, particularly Mr. Hamada and Mr. Hamdy, made our dining experience delightful. The hotel’s cooperation truly enhanced our stay, as they kindly provided a wheelchair for one of our family members. Special thanks to Mr. Ahmed Essam for efficiently arranging this for us. Overall, we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended!

Beautiful vacation

We stayed at the hotel from 18.08.2024. - 28.08.2024. Very organised hotel with well placed amenities. Rooms are clean, beds are comfy, some of the things in the room needs maintenance but nothing special. All inclusive concept is very good, you have bars everywhere, water, drinks, food, lot of pools and choices. Beach is wide and spacious, you can always find free sunbeds which are very soft and with privacy. There are showers at every corner. Food in the restaurant is tasty, there is enough choices for everyone, we could always find something nice to eat. Also fruits were amazing. Now we have to mention that staff was so friendly, helpful and nice. Housekeeping guy Modther Abdou was so polite and friendly always bringing us enough water and keeping our room clean. Also mr. Mohamed Lord from the restaurant was so nice, always bringing my pregnant wife juices and tea, finding us free table in no time. Mr. Ahmed Taha, always with smile and perfect service at the restaurant. We went to massage and we had wonderful experience. We had egyptian massage and we were so satisfied with it so we went twice. We would like to thank ms. Naama Saed and ms. Samer Mahmood for excellent massages and kindness. Reception guys was very polite and helpful especially mr. Maged and mr. Hisham. And finally we get to say something about animation. Great organisation, rich program of activities, I was 5 times in Egypt but this hotel has the best animation so far. Great daytime sport choices and excellent night shows for adults. Mr. Anjo was always smiling and positive, mr. Vladimir also very kind and giving my wife advices about exercises, and last but not least, Tasha from Serbia, so helpful, nice and caring, always updating us about all activities and important things about hotel. All in all we had wonderful stay and we will gladly travel there again next time.

Guest relations lady saved our holiday

This is our third stay at Mercure hotel. The reason we keep coming back is the beach, sea, kind and friendly staff, food and service in general. The beach, the pools, the surrounding area are pretty, clean and well maintained. The food is good and there is plenty of varieties. Animation team does good job. Everyone is smiling and we felt really welcomed. The only thing we had an issue with, was the room. In this review I will focus on guest relations and problem solving by staff member. Upon arrival we got a room on top floor in one of the older buildings. Older buildings really needs urgent renovation since this room was really worn out. There was a gap between doors and the door frame at least 1 cm and when the wind would kick it would make a noise. It felt like that someone was at the door. Since I have a chronical back pain it was challenging for me to go up and down that many stairs. That being said we figured that we will request to change the room. We went to the reception and explained the matter. The receptionist told us that we may have ground floor room or the first floor room but with separate beds. We went to check ground floor room and finally decided to move to that room. The hotel consists of lot small buildings and the reception is walking distance more or less from them. The building we were settled in was pretty far from the reception so it took us while to go back and forth. Also note that it was 39 degrees that day. That being said we didn't want to make fuss and settled in the ground floor room. At that point we didn't figure that it is connected to neighboring room. At some time during the night, guests in the neighboring room started talking and turned their AC on. It felt like they were next to our bed. They were not noisy, but it was not a pleasant idea to have some strangers separated only by a thin door. Also the bed was uncomfortable and toilet had bad odor. Of course we went to the reception, and told the receptionist about the matter. The receptionist that had name tag Hisham told us to come at 2 pm and he would see what he can do. When we arrived at 2pm he told us to pack our belongings and he would send someone to move us to another room. Fortunately we requested to see the room beforehand. It was the same room as the first one we got. Of course it was not acceptable, and then we were told to come back at 4 pm to check whether they will have something else. And sure thing, we came back at 4 pm and Mr Hisham told us to wait. At 4:30 we had scheduled city tour and by that time we got no info regarding the matter. My wife approached to young lady named Ghadeer who works as guest relations, and told her that we have to go and if it's OK to try to solve the matter after we come back. She said the receptionist is familiar with the matter and so we left. We came back around 8:30 PM, the receptionist was busy with other guests and my wife approached to the young lady and asked whether it will be possible to solve the matter now. She approached to the receptionist and they spoke briefly. From the look on his face we figured that he was fed up with us and didn't even want to look at us. We could also figure that girl was upset about what he told her. When we asked her what was the matter she told us that he said to come back tomorrow since there is nothing he can do. At that point we were really upset and requested to discuss to senior staff member. She told us that she would do everything to solve the issue. And she did. Miss Ghadeer was so persistent and dedicated to find us acceptable room. She eventually called head supervisor and at the end we were settled in lovely room that met our requirements. Many thanks to Miss Ghadeera, the best guest relation employee this hotel has. If anybody from hotel management should read this review - this young lady is perfect example how to recognize and fulfill guest requests and deserves huge raise and promotion. She is the reason that we will definitely make our fourth visit to Mercure hotel, Hurghada.
