But disappointed with this hotel, no a/c looked out on to bricks. No kettlee in room. Breakfast was not a lot for the price. Not to happy

It may be that the air-conditioning system was switched off in the room, but if we had been informed of this problem when you were there, we would have made the necessary arrangements immediately. A classic Ibis, the hotel has small but well designed rooms with decent sized bed, great mattress, good sound proofing and blackout curtains , effective air conditioning and plenty of clothes storage space for a few nights stay. There’s a desk and chair and good TV. The bathroom again is small but enough space to lay out toiletries and a good hot shower. Plenty of electric sockets but no usb ports. The staff are friendly, always someone on reception. A few simple but cheap meals are served. The free parking is above ground adjacent to the hotel. There is no nearby public transport so you need a car to get to the centre of town where there are some excellent independent restaurants ( close to the hotel only chain and fast food.) The drive into town is s bit tricky in places even using google maps. If you book well in advance it is cheap and good value : we paid around 55 euros a night .

Many of the places we had stayed were old homes and farm stays which have their own charm and character. However we were off to see the underground caverns and the Neanderthal man caves nearby so stayed here. Now having stayed in others elsewhere was not prepared for the room size - which was large, loads of hot water to wash in and also get our washing done. The bed was large, comfortable and after two months travelling , a welcome break from what was offered up elsewhere. We were close to the centre of town, but just out enough so had space to park car and get away in the morning without the traffic. There was a Carrefour store nearby which provided some great prepared meals. I find it strange that so many people we met on the road and moving to different towns don't review these stores as they provide many of the basics traveller's require while moving around. You have a choice of meals and can add items as well. I digress - We were able to spread our gear out in the entry area and sort and repack the car, without getting wet or having to pick things up to start again. The manager was wonderful and helped in many ways. Comfort, space and help were all provided for and the ability for a long hot shower. Something all travellers will tell you, that after a week that is almost number one on the must have list

Good position of you are looking for something near the highway for a stop and go night, but nothing around it. It's a bit old but still decent building/rooms. WIFI works well. Food at the restaurant could be better both in variety and quality but acceptable.

With Ibis Budget being full we moved to the next level. The hotel was showing its age especially with the room cooling. Disappointing that the Bistro was closed. Good sized room and beds more comfortable than last time we used Ibis Hotels
