This is a beautiful hotel. Rooms include amazing Sofitel bedding which is heavenly. The restaurants and room service have a good selection. Staff were all extremely professional and friendly.

Really nice visit to the old world. Really somewhat stuck in time, the old cataract is regal and somewhat colonial. The cocktails were super expensive for some reason. The food was mediocre- sometimes cold. The 1902 restaurant required a jacket for men -most just took it off right away which made me question the whole concept. The food there was just ok Overall- worth the stay but not luxury like others

I absolutely loved my stay at the Old Cataract. The place is full of history, charm, and calm — you can feel it in every corner. My room was spotless and had an amazing Nile view. A big thank you to Ahmed from housekeeping for keeping everything perfect and always greeting me with a smile. The staff were kind, professional, and made me feel at home. Can’t wait to come back!

The decor is top notch & fantastic for any special occasion. The outdoor patio at sunset is nothing short of divine. & the Sammous was a very unique taste that we will come back for in future trips. Our waiter staff, Essam & Said, were truly delightful & the service was absolutely excellent as they took care of our every need. We would definitely recommend Restaurant 1902 to our friends & family when visiting Aswan in the future.
