Mercure Blois Centre Hotel is ideally located beside the river Loire and within very short walking distance of the old city centre and commercial district. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and quiet, and the facilities are great. Breakfast is excellent with a great menu, and dinners are very good indeed and not unreasonably priced. We recommend this hotel to any tourist or business visitor.

The Hotel is getting old but we had a lovely large room overlooking the Loire river through the trees, the wi-go was very good and 2 welcome drinks so we had dinner in the restaurant and was very good. Only a short walk to Bars and Restaurants, We had booked undercover secure parking otherwise there was parking across the road

Very disappointed with our room, not close to 4 star standard. We booked one of the larger rooms, as others have mentioned this was a strange layout with a tiny sitting area and bathroom on one level and a mezzanine with the bed - notably none of these rooms are shown on the website. The room was tired & shabby, other than the recently renovated bathroom. The furniture downstairs was crowded as if borrowed from another room with more space. The couch was a pull out bed (although I can only imagine how cramped the room would be with the bed in use - I don’t know how anyone would get down from the mezzanine to the bathroom…) and just about functioned as a couch - the cushions wouldn’t stay in place and it was not at all comfortable. The stairs was ugly (painted in red gloss) narrow and awkward. All the furniture looked cheap and had seen better days. The balcony was unpleasant, no furniture and very gloomy concrete. The carpets were garish and grim. There were no cups or glasses provided for the soft drinks or tea and coffee. Only 2 paper coffee cups, cannot understand how this meets their green criteria. The indoor pool bizarrely is adjacent to the wine bar with a glass wall separating the two rooms. Not necessarily the view either swimmers or drinkers are looking for. Positives: The bed was a decent size. Water, orange juice and a couple of cans of coke/ orangina were included in the minibar. The nespresso machine and kettle was good although shoved in on a table under the stairs.. not so good for the very tall. Not recommended.
