A good Mercure on the edge of the city. Convenient location and very helpful staff. Decent plentiful breakfast. Safe secure parking in basement garage. The decor and rooms are a little tired hence the planned refurbishment- it needs it!

Nice beautiful hotel close to downtown. Room was big, easily lodge 3 adults.seperate bathroom and toilet. Great amanites! Dinning room was okay! Food you would expect from a restaurant in an hotel. Portions were good. Parking located under the hotel for 12€ per 24 hours period. Overall good hotel

We stayed a long weekend at Mercure Centre Antigone , its a nice hotel with very friendly staff which gave us good directions for walking around in Montpeliier , we realy enjoyed their seafood buffet which is organized a couple of times a year. The rooms were nice maybe outdated but we had a good night sleep. Breakfast was great . And hotel is close to shopping centre and city center.
Not ideal for computer users

The standard rooms in this hotel are computer UNFRIENDLY. There is a small very low round table, that is of limited use, and also a small apology for a desk at the side of the bed. However this desk(?!) is mostly occupied by the in-room tea and coffee making facilities. These can be moved, but then there is another problem. There is a FIXED light unit about 25% of the width from the left of the "desk", which makes 25% of the surface area unusable. There might still be just enough room for the computer, but you would have to use the keyboard pointing device, because there will be no room left to use a mouse, and none for other peripherals or anything else. In fairness to hotel management, they did solve the problem. They provide another small table which, when put at right angles to the "desk", provided enough space. I was able to put the small low circular table next to the additional table provided, and use it for my portable printer. This problem does not exist at either of the local Novotels, or at the Mercure Grande Motte, so if you need to use a lap top, it might be better to choose one of these, or if you still want to stay at the Mercure Antigon, then make your requirements known to hotel management in advance. I did not use the hotel restaurant for dinner on this visit. Hotel restaurant menus are frequently a bit restricted, and there was plenty of choice of restaurants nearby. Breakfast was up to Mercure's normal standards, except if you wanted white coffee. Normally, Mercure provide pots of coffee and pots of hot milk, and if you want white coffee, you can mix it to the strength you want. Here, if you wanted white coffee, it came from a machine, and for me, it was far too milky. The standard rooms are a bit smaller than I would expect from Mercure, but once the computer problem had been sorted, there was enough room for everything. Reception staff were very helpful, but they had some new employees who seemed to be very nervous and prone to make errors. The check out was not completely satisfactory. Although they charged the correct amount, I subsequently found that they had given me the wrong bill. The copy they gave me, was the preliminary bill, before adjustments. In addition, at the time of writing, I have still not received my Accor points for this stay, although I have received the points for a subsequent stay. So far, the hotel has not responded to my complaint about the missing points or my request for a copy of the correct bill.
