Staying at Sofitel - Algiers is always comfortable and special. It was a pleasant return to Algiers after 9months due to COVID and i was welcomed with a nice cake. Hotel staff is very professional and caring. Mr. Said and Mr. Amine did their best to make the stay as much comfortable as possible and ensuring proper sanitization of rooms etc..

Sofitel Alger is definitvely a Professional hotel, they are allowing a number of limited guest, to make use of hotel but fully guaranteeing the safety. Guets are disinfected at the entry, and allowed only to stay in thei room and served meals n the rooms very limited perronnel is allowed to work to reduce riskas and all are using masks and précautions. Few people are running the entire services of hotel , especially Mr Ramses hat is doing professionaly plenty of task. congratulation to Sofitel.

Very good hotel. I have stayed there at different over the past 2 years. Great staff from check-in to VIP Lounge and restaurant. I take note of great staff like Amin/Habib/ Habibat @ reception & Said @ VIP

Very Comfortable stay, nice staff specially Zola at reception and Amina at the Bar. Tried Italian restaurant, its appalling service is horrible.. Price and taste is not at all worth waiting for that long . Sofitel needs to work on their Buffet and food menu.

Missing loyalty points - despite chasing them through the Accor loyalty programme

I stay here regularly but each time have to chase to get the loyalty programme points awarded - this time has been harder than ever with a complicated customer support arrangement at Accor's new ALL loyalty scheme and nothing to date from the hotel in awarding the points themselves.

I had made my booking through the hotel website and prepaid by the credit card and received confirmation accordingly. At the checkout, I was informed that I must pay, as the prepayment is not shown in the hotel system. Even after I showed them the prepaid confirmation on my computer, they still insisted that the hotel charges must be paid onsite. So, I had to make arrangements to pay cash on the spot, while trying to reach the airport on time before missing my flight. This is a terrible service from a five-star hotel, and needs to be remedied immediately. i also demand an explanation. Dr. Ali Ghalambor

I have been staying at this hotel for many years now, as it was the best choice in Algiers. I have experienced almost every type of room and all of the hotel's facilities. In all it meets my expectations, except the breakfast service. It has become a running joke, the Sofitel (5 Stars) does not appear to have enough teaspoons. Every time (and I mean it) I have to ask for a teaspoon and then the waiter will try to find one. I have never experienced anything like this before, especially since the solution would be so simple - buy a few more teaspoons.

With 67 countries under my belt. 200 nights a year on a plane & hotel. Never in my life have I experienced such a hotel. Not even when I back packed 20yrs ago. I have never given a negative review as I always say ‘s*^t happens’. But this is a joke from the beginning to the end. And kind staff or friendly smiles don’t cut it. Shame because the staff are so kind. And for $300 pn? Shame that u allow a hotel to carry your flag. Shame that u spoil people’s experience. You are a management company. Which means be definition u must manage each hotel like it was your only one. If u really care what happened I’ll email HQ. send me a contact.

Very good hotel. Excellent service, very friendly. Only the housekeeping can be a bit loud in the morning.... Apart from that, very good! Location, pool, staff, lobby, view. etc. Really recommendable!

I was disturbed during the night by the noise of customers coming out of the discotheque. they were screaming, hissing and singing. In the early morning I was awakened by work in the hotel ... I will not come back

下水道不通畅一直是阿尔及利亚各大酒店的问题,我遇到好几次了。这次在SOFITEL没想到也遇到了这种情况,像我入住时间不长的人估计不会要求换房什么的,但是这种问题会很影响心情。 另外的问题:2人入住,提供了一双拖鞋,一个杯子?不知道这点能否改进一下。

I'd a nice weekend on this hotel in Algiers. Always I felt safe (very important for me). Please keep looking for the function of the aiir condition systems in the rooms. TV program in german language running unstable (any adjustment possible?)

In need of upgrading throughout. Also the staff are rude and not helpful. It is a 2 to 3 star hotel at best. Also, this hotel tried to charge my credit card £3500, for my colleagues room, which was only £200 for the one night we were staying. They also cancelled my colleagues room as the above payment for obviosu reasons did not clear. I would be very careful indeed if you have to stay at this hotel. If not, avoid at all costs and stay at the Hilton which is much better (we couldn't as it was closed for refurbishment).

The hotel has a nice atmosphere. There are enough bars and restaurants to visit and the personal is very good. The staff of the reception at the hotel is another story. There is poor communication regarding costs, shuttle travel or any other question. They wanted to charge me double on breakfast and the only response I got was that it wasn't in my price rate, which in the end turned out otherwise. Moreover, I arranged a shuttle in the night and when I showed up 5 minutes before departure time, the reception was busy with a big group that wanted to check in. I waited my turn and when I checked out and asked about the shuttle, they told me that it left because it doesn't wait for anybody. Cold and poor communication from their side in any request from my side. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant stay with good beds and nice facilities.

Stay was good upgrade was fine , but at the checkout got presented with the total bill for the room charge , this was prepaid and confirmed on 10/10/17 but the reception person could not find it in the system , this at 3.45 hrs in the morning with the bus waiting for the airport, not very happy with having to start the day with an argument , finnaly the receptionist accepted the fact and we could leave at 04.15 .

Our staff's professional service is a point of pride for us and we are quite disappointed to hear that you felt we underperformed in this area, nevertheless please rest assured that your comments will be shared with the entire team for information and further revision.

the service at this hotel needs big improvements, especially considering that it is a five star hotel and the price of the room is (very) high. Some staff are nice and well trained, with a natural customer orientation, it is particularly true for the buffet restaurant. the experience with event organisation has been rather bad, no service provided, or provided as the staff was doing us a favour.
