This is the worst hotel I have ever spent in. They ran my card in pretence of pre authorisation and refused to refund my money despite promising to do so. The manager Mr. Abdel Hakim is a liar. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nice hotel with view on the Algers botanical garden. Room with space and very comfortable bed. Breakfast is a must a lot of choice.

Just completed a 3 night stay and had a lovely time. Everything was clean and well presented. Room was very nice and spacious (shower was the best I have experienced in a hotel. Had a massage with Zahia and was very impressed, was possibly one of the best out of 1000’s that I have had!! Worth going back for the massage alone. Couple of small complaints, drink service around the pool seemed a little bit selective - they should check on every guest for drinks. The buffets selection of warm food was very underwhelming, salads and cold items were superb. The pizzas at the pool bar were amazing, could do with a few extra choices All in all we would recommend and would go back - thank you

Review of the hotel staff and management: I would like to express my sincere thanks to all the hotel staff and management for the exceptional welcome and the high quality of service I received throughout my stay. A special thank you to Karima, Mustapha, Othmane, Imen, Madiha, and Houda, who demonstrated exemplary professionalism, great availability, and constant kindness. Their attention to detail and courteous attitude greatly contributed to my comfort and satisfaction. I would also like to commend the impeccable work of the housekeeping staff, who were always discreet and efficient. My room, number 545 on the 5th floor, was maintained daily with great care and precision. My thanks also go to the hotel managers, for the quality of their leadership, the smooth organization of services, and the high level of professionalism that prevails throughout the establishment. Their discreet yet attentive presence is a true guarantee of excellence. Thanks to this wonderful team, I had a most pleasant stay, which I will not hesitate to recommend. Disapointing hotel, don‘t go there

I’d give 2 stars for this „supposed-to-be“ Five Stars Hotel (180€/night incl. breakfast!). The interior of the rooms are a complete disaster. Old furniture out of place and hastily patched together - everything wobbles, and cable ties do their job. In the rooms the beds are good, the rest is bad. The body lotion in the bath room is rancid and clumped. Food is ok. Pool is good. Gym is ok (but a bit old, too). Stuff is friendly (not all of them) and aware of the situation - regrets and resignation are the answers. Within Accor Group, who took the decision not to invest in this hotel since the last 2-3 decades? Sofitel is the flagship of the Accor Group! For me it‘s not understandable, especially when I look to the standard of other Sofitels around the world. Next time in Algiers I‘d try Hilton.
