Excellent Hotel Right in the Centre of Town

In terms of a location in the town centre, this hotel is perfect, less than a minute's walk from the central square. We arrived as a group of six, with a booking for 3 twin rooms. Check in was straightforward, and the rooms spacious, clean, comfortable and appointed in the style of Ibis styles. Good wifi, quiet (the street outside is essentially one way / no thoroughfare, so pretty quiet). Breakfast was served one level below the large reception area, and was perfectly adequate for us, once again very much in the Ibis Styles' style. The staff member was constantly on the go ensuring all options were available. A lot of reviews comment on the hotel's car parking and its limited size with guests damaging their own cars on the structure, useful information and being forewarned is forearmed. We had a smallish Mercedes minibus, but we were able to park in the nearby Car Park de Ville, less than 2 minutes walking from the hotel, so not at all inconvenient. And not too expensive either. Overall, this hotel was perfect for our requirements, and would happily stay here again.

Good position and easy outside parking (may depend on place assigned). Older hotel, rooms very small, bathroom tiny and basic, breakfast very nice. For the price and position, and just one night, not too bad.

Had very low expectations because of all the bad reviews. However it's not that bad or I was lucky. The room was small (but it's normal for an Ibis) but fortunately there was no street noise or serious malfunctions. The room wasn't too hot although it was +30 degrees outside. The bed was comfortable. Can't comment on breakfast. It was a bit odd but nobody on the front desk spoke any English. I know I'm in France but this is an international chain hotel in a touristic city (Poitiers is very nice and underrated, by the way). One more thing - my stay cost me 25 EUR. If the price was 2-3 times higher, perhaps I would be more picky.

Would definitely not stay here again

We were put in a swelteringly hot room despite the hotel knowing that the air conditioning was not functional. When we discovered this late in the evening we were told that there was nothing they could do. They could not even provide a fan. The room was really small and the shower room was minuscule - I have seen larger loos in an aeroplane.

Horrible stay with no help from the reception or director

No hot water for 4 days. Impossible to take a shower and no help from the reception of fixing it. Rooms are very small and not comfortable. Director of the hotel is impolite and very unhelpful. It’s a very bad bad experience and I will never go there again. Read other reviews and make sure you decide carefully.
