We stayed at the Mercure for three nights as we needed to be close to the train station. Breakfast was great with lots of gluten free options, rooms were clean and comfortable. However, the location is not safe, particularly when travelling as a family with lots of beggars and pick pockets loitering outside the hotel from early morning to late at night. Walking back into the hotel at night was difficult.

Буквально через дорогу от центрального вокзала, сигарету не успеваешь выкурить. Поскольку мы каждый день куда-то ездили на поезде, это фактор был главным. До центра города с достопримечательностями и прочим минут 20-25 пешком. Сам отель прям крут. Мы, правда, раньше только в Ибисах останавливались, 2 или 3 звезды. Это похож по концепции на Ибис, но побогаче. Номер нормального размера, больше выбор на завтрак (о, это восторг, а не завтрак!). Но осталась типичная проблема - негде сушить бельё. Уборка супер, вай фай стабильный.

Great hotel, right opposite the central train station in Bologna and close to the bus station too. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly (everyone spoke at least some English - useful as my Italian is limited) and the rooms are good. Being so close to the station and main road, there is some noise, so would recommend asking for a room at the rear of the hotel if possible (or just take ear-plugs). The buffet breakfast offered a good choice and there was no problem getting space. There's plenty of quiet space close to Reception where you can work, read or chat and a nice little cafe area too.

For a couple which all day is going around to explore the city is very good since you are not inside . It's main advantage is the station across the road and nearby to the center .

This was a great experience. The location was perfect for what we needed. Directly access from the train station! The bed was really really really firm! The staff was helpful and accommodating and one night there was a DJ in the lobby. Fun and cool local vibes. I would absolutely come back to this hotel.
