Spent 3 nights here and blessed with amazing sunny skies in November. Bus 2 from train station very easy to get around from this hotel. Ask at the reception desk for the free public transport voucher which is a fantastic initiative within Salzburg. The same bus goes to the airport. Very friendly reception staff on check in, nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely, comfy bed, fridge and safe included. I look forward to coming back in the future.

This was our second time staying in the hotel we like it the staff are very nice, lift and rooms were good. It’s a bit of a walk into town as we didn’t have a car but it was ok good to stretch the legs before and after dinner. Bar area lacked atmosphere but there wasn’t many people around

Lovely hotel in a quiet area of Salzburg but easily walkable distance from the main areas, restaurants and cafes. We booked a modern privilege room with a walk in shower and couldn’t fault it - very clean, spacious, lots of storage spaces and comfy beds. Best of all there was a fridge and strong air con! The whole hotel smelt fresh. All the staff we encountered were super friendly and cheerful. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or stay again!

A pleasant hotel but not in a central location. Room was clean and comfortable. We were surprised to find a lack of bottled water in the room (this has been standard in most European hotels we have visited) but water and other items could be purchased from a vending machine in Reception. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful and both housekeeping and Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

I’m a titanium elite in Marriott and typically stay in Marriott hotels. This time I decided to try Accor hotels in Europe and boy was it a big mistake The good part - 1. Location is Ok. About 15 mins walk from train station 2. They gave me a nice upgrade which I really appreciate 3. Overall hotel looks are good The worse part 1. They don’t microwave outside food in their restaurant by fooling people about some laws. I have got this done across multiple Marriott hotels in Austria and also Novotel in Wien. Somehow this strange law only applies to Mercure Salzburg 2. The restaurant person was extremely aggressive and made it seem like they are doing me a favor by letting me stay in their hotel. 3. That person really needs to learn how to speak to guests. Overall a bad experience as I couldn’t even have my own food in this hotel. Accor - please take note on what Marriott does much better - respecting the guests
