We stayed here just for an overnighter on a longer trip, the hotel was clean, the staff friendly and our room comfortable, if a bit economical in size! It met all our needs for the night and would happily stay again. It has its own car park. Easily accessible, across the road, was a Carrefour supermarket and a KFC! Not far away, and probably walkable, is the Royal Monastery of Brou with its iconic roof tiles. There are several bars and restaurants there too

Don’t stay at this hotel. The room smelled awful, like an animal had died in the ventilation system. The hotel knew it was a problem because they had set up a purifier in the room, which did nothing to help the putrid stink. But they still felt it was okay to let people stay in that room. I was offered a free breakfast for the inconvenience, but a Michelin star dinner at Joel Robuchon wouldn’t have made up for it. Tres mal.

Disappointed. Stop over from Italy to Calais. Tired, run down, shabby, tiny room, could hardly squeeze by each other. Door would only lock after 6 attempts at slamming it shut, reception not interested. On the plus side, quiet, good breakfast, bed comfy. But I think the pillow protection has rubber in it as my head got boiling and sweaty in the night. I will avoid Ibis in future

One knows what to expect in an Ibis room. The hotel is easily found and has a free well lit parking lot directly adjacent. Our room was spotless and comfy. Quiet. Breakfast buffet ample and with great selection. Front desk staff very helpful, friendly. A short walk to the monastery and its museum. We ate at an excellent restaurant nearby although hotel does have a restaurant too.

We were very disappointed with our experience at this hotel, we chose it as an alternative to our normal stop at Macon because of its location and because it had a restaurant. Well location wise was ok but the car parking wasn’t secure, the restaurant closed on weekends and the hotel long overdue for redecorating and updating. We won’t be stopping here again.
