OK, But Needs a Refresh

This a fairly basic mid range hotel. All necessary amenities are there but need a refresh. The carpet is shabby, the shower grout and bathroom walls could use a refresh and everything would be better with a coat of paint. Convenient location and parking, OK service. Nothing memorable.

The property is located just at the entrance to the inner city. For healthy people, it's a nice 20-25 minutes' walk along the river to get to downtown. Otherwise one must take the car out from the ample, relatively cheap, hotel parking provided, as the nearest tram stop is not that near, either. Rooms and bathrooms are adequate, breakfast is good, and the excellent restaurant deserves a separate review. The view of the Loire River and beyond from our high-floor room alone was worth the stay. The hotel is very popular, particularly as a stop for tourists on their way to Northern Europe. Thus, during the season it's best to reserve early.

The hotel is average for the standard of the rooms. Still quite large. As for business purpose it is low service in the bar area. Very slow and also communicating at arrival with colleauges from outside that the bar close at 23. Still they served other guests because they came from the restaurant. Not nicely communicated, came over as rude. Sorry, but not a good service level.

We loved this hotel. Everything about it. Our family get together was perfect t here. Stayed one night and the evening g meal and breakfast was a pleasure. The staff are brilliant. Our grandkids were upset that we were all separating for a while when we were leaving and the manager gave them a toy each. Just off the bat. Great place great people.

Stayed for 2 nights to visit Orleans. Easy to park although it may be a struggle to find a space if you arrive late. Nice room overlooking the pool area and river with balcony. Room and bathroom kitted out well and minbar has space to use as a fridge. Reception staff very good
