An outstanding hotel in an ideal location. Very attentive and polite staff, nothing too much trouble. Superior sea-view room was spacious, very clean, huge comfy bed, well designed, lots of draw and cupboard space. They resist the maddening habit of filling the bed with useless cushions that get in the way, but no pillow menu or aircon. Only room grumble is that the sliding doors are the only ventilation and there aren’t mosquito nets, the flowing net curtains don’t keep them out, so you get eaten. Several sorts of tea provided and a nespresso coffee machine (minor grumble - they are mean with the pods, and no hot chocolate) Bathroom adequate but nothing special, feeble (very feeble) shower. 1st class spa facilities, uncrowded and restful when we were there late June/early July. Great 25m pool and a wonderful spa area with sea water jacuzzis, water jets, hydro massage beds, you name it, including an outside jacuzzi area. All immaculately clean and well cared for. Hot steam hamman and sauna areas (one of the saunas out of use all week but didn’t really matter, most things are doubled up) One of the best hotel breakfast choices I have seen, from oysters to bacon and eggs. Great dining options and a pleasant bar. It is expensive, but for a treat it is great.

Beware the Thalassa Spa could be closed.

We booked the hotel specifically for the Thalassa Spa that is advertised as a main attraction. When we booked the hotel they did not inform us that the SPA and indoor pool would be closed. Since this was the main reason for booking this expensive hotel we were very disappointed to find out no spa or pool was available. Of course we informed the front desk but just received a “sorry”. For a destination hotel like this I would expect a customer to be informed the main attraction was closed.

Stunning location in Quiberon

The location is just stunning - just by the ocean and on the end of the peninsula. You can sleep by the sound of the waves. For the cineasts: at this hotel was "Three days in Quiberon" with Romy Schneider filmed. What we liked: - the quiet location by the sea with walkways close by - the tasteful decorated room - the stunning view from the balcony - the very friendly staff (except bar) - the huge breakfast-buffet with oysters and special for you prepared fruit plates - very comfy beds (Sofitel-beds are a dream) What we disliked: - the service at the bar (very expensive, but slow and not really friendly) - the many guests wearing bathrobes at breakfast (its a Spa-Hotel, but really - at a 5 Star Hotel?) Would we recommend a stay? Absolutely. But book a room with seaview - its part of the experience to hear the waves and enjoy the view from your balcony.

Fantastic Thalasso

The thalasso and its staff are outstanding. I have been coming for over 30 years and the facilities are really great and the 25 meters swimming pool with warm sea water is fantastic. But the hotel is not up to 5 star standards and clearly there is not enough staff (especially in the restaurant) and there seems to be a lot of young people with little experience. The exception to this is the concierge desks: dedicated and excellent advice and service. Also upsetting is the lack of transparency of the bill so check out is a nightmare. I found a difference of 40 euros (on a multi thousand euros bill) as apparently for the last night my room was more expensive (nobody told me so before). There was nobody who had the authorities (or willingness) to admit to the mistake as the general manager, Madame Gali, was absent all week. A 40 euros mistake is not a big deal, but for an Accor Platinum customer who has come for over 30 years I find it unacceptable that staff cannot say "sorry".

The hotel offers a great location with a beautiful view over the ocean. We had an issue with our room wich hasn’t been solved on the first day but thanks to Audrey and Elise, who were very professional, understanding and with a great sense of guest service, it has been fixed and it definitely improved our stay, switching us from « never again » to « we’ll definitely come back ». Everything is very clean, thanks to housekeeping. Breakfast is wonderful as well as the staff there. Spa area as well as the gym are both enjoyable. The bar also offers a large choice and barmen are great. Just avoid booking the classic room, wich needs to be completely refreshed. Even though the hotel is a little used by time, it is a great place to stay where most of the staff knows about how to make you feel special. Thank you. Faustine.
