Good enough for an overnight stay, close to airport and motorway.

It's really handy for the airport and many years ago when I used to stay here it was very relevant due to the daily air traffic. Not so these days as the airport no longer has prominence. However, it's good enough for an overnight stay, especially if you use the A9 autoroute as it's accessible directly from there. In my opinion, it's seen better days. Although I'm able-bodied the room I was given was fitted for a disabled person and therefore was big and spacious. It was clean but the furniture had seen better days and the bed was a bit too saggy to be comfortable unlike most French Novotels I've used where the beds are new and very supporting. Service was effective and breakfast was pretty ordinary although there was a good range of breakfast foods. You'd expect that in France you'd get a good breakfast coffee, but here it comes from a machine these days and is pretty average so I opted for tea, for which there is a good range.

False accusation by the manager in the state in which the room was left!

Kind regards," well, i would like to clarify a few points:1. there were renovation work in the hotel and At the reception they handed out earplugs to guests! 2. your General Manager personally met with us several times, including in the room, to explain the situation and said: there is nothing she could do abaut the noise and the bad smals! 3. your team did not offered ningun several gestures of attention! we invited b& b and paiad for it. never got drinks throughout our stay! 4. we asked tu cancel the last night- Because it was impossible to be in the room because of the noise and the terrible smells of glue - something your manager agreed to when she visited the room. We asked if we could move to another room and the manager said that the situation in all rooms is the same! 5. "We were, however, very surprised by the condition in which the room was left upon your departure. Despite this, our priority remains the satisfaction and comfort of our guests." What are you talking about??? Are you accusing us? Of what??? This is already a real plot!!! I really didn't expect this from such a network!

Threatened to cancel our room if we didn't pay before arrival.

We booked this hotel through a well know booking company as a stop on our way back from driving to Spain. The day before we arrived they rang us demanding we paid them in full or they would not guarantee our room, which was completely against the terms and conditions of our booking. We were blackmailed into making this payment or we would not have a room. On our travel to and from Spain, we stayed at 5 Novotels, none of the others made this demand and just asked for the payment on arrival. In addition, they wanted this payment over the phone, which we were not comfortable with. We ended up paying via the booking website for security but did this under duress in fear we would not have a hotel to stay in. The hotel itself is bang average with very dated grim rooms. I would not recommend people stay here for a long period of time.

I didn't pay for the room, work did..and it's clear the hotel was chosen based on price (cheapness) only for a mid 32hour journey travel break. To be fair the reception staff were pleasant and friendly. The room was clean enough (once the cleaners actually vacated your room....a colleague was checked into a room supposedly ready only to find stripped bedding piled about the place and the room clearly still beong turned around . The shower was ok but took eons to run warm. The toilet in a separate cubical which was annoyingly small. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere.... .so if you are being dropped off and have no transport...its a work up to get somewhere that feels less in the middle-of-the- a desert . Thankfully there is an in house restaurant...but annoyingly the lunch/day menu stops at 7 when the dinner menu kicks in. The dinner menu isn't very inspiring for what it was....burger, or chicken or beef skewer, or a blognaose pasta....but once arrived the food quality was good enough. Its just a shame lunch menu didn't run through as it had more inspiring salads/poke bowls also. The utter saving grace of this hotel is the pool. Even if you aren't a swimmer. It provides a more pleasant area to sit by with a beverage and food tha otherwise a very barron flat expanse of nothingness. The hotel has no lift, and whilst only 2 floors tall, if you are lugging a heavy suitcase , being on the second floor is a bit dull...so ask in advance to be on ground floor if this poses an issue. All in all, as a pit stop its clean enough. As a vacation stop , there are I am sure more interesting places to stay. You get what you pay for in life...and for the money not spent on the room rate, this hotel does the job fairly enough.

My husband is convinced this is not a Novotel, possibly an Ibis but It had a Novotel sign and the room looked like a poor scruffy Novotel room. As ever, easy to find. However underwhelming arrival from front desk and up to room - no elevator be warned. We have used Novotels a lot when touring and this one was shabby and uncared for. Our room had the limited number of things you get nowadays in a Novotel room. The big disappointment, and I found it astoundingly so, was the restaurant. Usually there are some local items on the menu, always some decent French food and wine. The menu was like a children't snack bar menu. I ordered a Caesar salad and that arrived as a huge bowl of stuff - sweetcorn in a Caesar salad? They couldn't even get that right. Breakfast buffer was ok if a bit limited. I would not dream of returning and strongly advise anyone else to look elsewhere. We stayed at another Novotel on our trip which was fine so there is just something wrong with this place. The only things to be said for it is that it is easy to find and the wifi is good. Otherwise: AVOID.
