We stayed at the Sofitel for only a couple of days and it was an unforgettable experience. The resort’s gardens and elegant French colonial architecture gave a very serene and peaceful vibe, most especially when it rained. It was a few minutes away from Pub Street and less than an hour away from the temples, so it was certainly convenient to have a local tour. The team was also very helpful in arranging the “small circle” tour to view Angkor Wat, Bayon temple and Ta Phrom, with an English-speaking guide to assist us. The service was impeccable, and they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, and even gave us an upgrade to a junior suite and a handcrafted scarf. Our room had amazing classic decor, and we especially loved the little “living room” which was very cozy and intimate. Dining wise, we enjoyed every bit of Mouhot’s Dream (particularly the maja blanca) and the Citadel breakfast. Sofitel has a wonderful team, and many thanks to Davorn, Ken & Lou for the lovely welcome; Khemara, Salom, Sreynoch, Ly & Tharo for the seamless and timely coordination ahead of our arrival; Siya of housekeeping for his attentiveness and Sothy for our pick-up service; the entire FNB team for the warmth & hospitality and to Sorn for a wonderful Siem Reap experience. We will definitely be back.

The most beautiful hotel in the world!

This is probably the most beautiful hotel I have stayed at! The rooms are beautiful! The welcome dancers were great! The place smells great. This is a 6 star place! The grounds are breathtaking! The king size bed is much bigger than a king! The amenities are fantastic! I have traveled the world but this is a first!

Such a fantastic resort with beautiful, well kept gardens. The restaurant food was excellent. The service was impeccable. There was loud music playing outside our hotel one evening. The security team took efforts to ask those individuals to decrease the volume of the music. It worked. Service was impeccable.

My family and I had a great time during our 5 nights at the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra Hotel. Weeks before I arrived I reached out to the hotel by email to ask about tour information to visit the area temples. Each time I sent an email I got a quick and detailed response back from the concierge Mr. Salom. I’m grateful for all the coordination from him. I made several changes to our plans in the days and weeks leading up to our stay and they were very flexible, especially Mr. Khemara and Mr. Hon Sopheak at the concierge desk after arrival. Upon arrival at the airport I was greeted by Mr. Thy who drove me back to the hotel. Mr. Thy was with us every day for our tours we organized and we really enjoyed getting to know him. At check in I was met by several staff member but I especially remember the hospitality of Ms. Chhorvin, she did a great job explaining the hotel to me, offering welcome amenities and escorting me around the beautiful hotel property and showing me to the room. They had made some special efforts to welcome my 6 year old son with his own bed, a toy stuffed elephant and a cake pop with his name spelled in chocolate. He loved this. During my stay I was in and out of the hotel a lot and everyone we met treated us so nicely. We also met a lot of other guests passing through on river cruises that were very nice. The hotel breakfast was very good with a wide variety and the champagne bar was a very comfortable place to have a drink and some bar snacks after a hot day. In the bar I got to meet Mr. Rattani the bar manager and Ms. Seihour who greeted me by name each time I stopped in and they accommodated some extra requests without any issue. I spent one morning golfing at their course about 30 minutes from the hotel and had a great time, thanks to Jake and the team out there for being so welcoming. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Siem Reap, regardless of solo, couples or family groups. It’s very close to the small city but feels like a tropical oasis once you’re inside. A great staff, and a beautiful property.

Beautiful Property, Excellent Staff

This was probably the nicest hotel property we have stayed at, and we have travelled extensively. The property is gorgeous, well maintained, with a beautiful pool area and outdoor spaces. Our room was spacious, well equipped and clean. The staff were above and beyond helpful and our experience was completely positive. The restaurant was excellent with some good choices and excellent service as well.
