We went to Sofitel on the eve of our wedding for preparations there. The service we received was excellent and surpassed our expectations - service during our breakfasts + dinner was great. Upon entering our room, we were surprised to receive complementary sparkling wine, cake and fruits. On the day of our wedding itself, all of our family members + suppliers were directed to our respective rooms without any hassle / intervention from our part, making it a very easy pre-wedding preparation. Finally, on the day of our check-out, even though they had no availability, they were able to accommodate a check-out at 1pm instead of 11am. Very much recommended. Thanks again to the team!

Stunning hotel

We had a lovely stay here. We were upgraded to the opera suite (I think partly as I am an Accor member and partly as there was no available room when we checked in). We were happy with the upgrade though and was worth the wait for the room, it was a beautiful suite, we even got fresh flowers. Great buffet , probably the biggest dinner buffet I have ever seen and nice breakfast. I cant give half stars here but I would give 4.5 stars only because we found the music really loud at night. It plays until 10:30 pm and rooms aren’t sound proof. We intentionally booked somewhere we thought would be quiet as we were very tired coming off a tour and wanted some early nights so this is why we were disappointed having to wait up until 10:30 every night for the music to stop. I recommend ear plugs if you are a light sleeper and want to sleep before 10:30, otherwise it won’t be an issue.

An Excellent hotel

We are a rertired couple who are widely travelled and have stayed in a number of hotels during our visits to Mauritius. This hotel is without doubt one of the best we have stayed at. The grounds are well kept, the pools are great and the food is excellent. What stands out at this hotel is the staff: They are incredibly helpful: nothing is too hard for them. To the staff at the restaurant, the beachclub and especially the reception, thank you for making our stay memorable. One example is that we were departig Mauritius at 11pm and the checkout time at the hotel was 12 noon. unfortunately, our room was booked for that day and the reception staff arranged another room for us free of charge (no trouble) and also arranged for porters to move our bags to the new room. To the management and the staff, thank you for making our stay ac memorable one.

My large family booked 4 twin rooms here. I could not fault the food, rooms and staff. Everything was so enjoyable. If we weren’t satisfied with anything, the staff would do their utmost to make it right for you. My only constructive comment is please provide some for transport for the youngest to go out in the evening as the evening entertainment was not exciting enough for them- LOL
