Extremely disappointing stay. After reading all the glowing reviews and viewing the lovely room photos, we truly expected a much better experience. Front Desk Staff: Greeted with coldness and apathy--not even remotely welcoming. Room: We were expecting an airy, clean-looking gray and white room as pictured on the Mövenpick Zagreb website. Instead, we were assigned a very dark, old, worn and dirty room with black and dark green walls and a non-functional layout. The wall next to the sink was completely water stained and had multiple patches of chipped paint. The beds were hard, the pillows near flat and the linens visibly worn. Many of the outlets did not work. The towels were clean, but like sandpaper. Restaurant: More apathy. There was a large company dinner so the server simply ignored us. A simple one-dish order took almost an hour. The server was rather unpleasant, avoided eye contact and seemed somewhat annoyed. One of the dishes we ordered did not remotely resemble the menu description. When we questioned this, we were informed the kitchen had probably run out of ingredients. It would have made sense that the server would have informed us prior to bringing the order so we could change it. Location: The area surrounding the hotel is not very nice but it is a short 10 minute drive to the airport -- without traffic and 20 minutes to downtown. Based on my experience at this property, I would not stay here again nor would I recommend it to anyone.

I stayed here for two days. Hotel has a great contemporary design which I like. Internet is great, and rooms are very clean and tidy. Cosmetics which you get in your room is top-notch! Also, I slept like a baby. Food is also very tasty, and I ate the best basmati rice with turkey in my life. Only issue I had was with service. There is an Asian guy who is completely unintersted in serving, and he speaks English poorly into his chin. Told me "OK I will check what we have for dinner" and he kept us waiting. I had patience first day, but second day I had enough. When I went to complain they told us that he ordered meals instead of us (not providing info on what we have as an option) I would give this stay 3 stars bit the girl named Daria assisted and made us feel like home. She is amazing and deserves a praise. All in all, good stay. Thanks Mövenpick.

Modern and fresh hotel in zagreb

Seems like the hotel is pretty new. They are located somehow outside the old town of Zagre but about 5-minute walk to the bus station to get to the city center. Modern and complete amenities. There is also a big supermarket near the hotel if in case you need to buy some things. Staff were all friendly and no problem with the check-in. Was upgraded to their executive room which i can say is quite huge compared to european standards of hotel rooms. Strong shower pressure and good bath amenities. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel despite that it is not within city center. One thing I could wish tho is a bigger fridge where I can also store some of my items as the fridge is quite compact and fully stocked with mini bar.

Second time i came to this hotel and again a very nice , pleasant experience. Very friendly staff all over the hotel, from reception, to people in the bar and restaurant. The room is not big but cosy and modern ( domotica ). Breakfast and food ok, parking ok
