Bedsheets are dirty with stains and hair. Requested for change of bedsheets but was only given the new one and expected to change ourselves. (Take with pinch of salt that housekeeping is off work at 11pm). Bathing towels come with a stale smell too. Toilets (basin etc) not catered for Asians who are shorter.

Stayed here five nights and enjoyed it , the rooms are spotless and the staff very pleasant. It’s in a fantastic location and has stunning views. Air con is good along with the WiFi too. The only negative really is the breakfast. Every thing was cold and the reason for this is there is no heat under the food on display and the lids are all left open where they should be closed as everyone was coughing and the ladies throwing their hair around. This contaminates the food . The selection for European guest is also very limited. However the restaurant is clean and the food is displayed beautifully. The pool is great along with the beach but again European guests do like sunbathing And there were zero facilities ie sun beds or brollies to shade . Such a shame as this would be just perfect if the facilities were provided. Anyway a positive note the staff are all very pleasant and professional so thank you all Kind regards Room 445

Disappointing visit

We stayed here 3 years ago and liked it. This time we were disappointed, even after reading the negative reviews. We stayed for 10 days, No recognition of our Accor silver (to become gold during the stay) status. The appointed room on floor 4 was only just okay. The Accor chain is known for its comfortable beds, the bed in this room was old and sagging. After 2 days we had a phonecall from reception that we had to change room, because of a cctv system they were installing on floor 4. So we had to pack up. They gave us a room on floor 5. The bed was a bit better in this room, but on the floor above 5 are convention Center halls, which are used by big groups, often using loudspeakers. So at times it is not so quiet on floor 5. The whole hotel seems to care more for the different corporate groups, using these top floor halls, than they care about regular guests. The restaurant, which used to be good, is now mostly in use for the buffets for these groups. We tried a la carte dinner once, but it was absolutely terrible. A shame, because the restaurant staff is really friendly. To be honest, staying in this hotel sometimes gave us the feeling that we weren't very welcome, which is extremely unusual for Malaysia. It took moving to the next place to remind us again how welcoming and friendly Malaysians are towards (western?) visitors. As said, we are Accor members, but won't return to this Accor hotel.
