We had to travel to Wagga for a funeral, so I booked a hotel because I thought it would offer services to make life less stressful. Big mistake - I missed the small print. This place allegedly has a bar, cafe,room service but a small note on the hotel site refers to limited reception hours. Turns out the place is literally closed outside these times and entirely “do it all yourself.” .We arrived at 7 pm on a Sunday to find it dark, deserted and locked up. Found a sticker on the front door with a number to call which turned out to be an after hours service for several hotels. I booked through Accor and provided credit card details but apparently the hotel or its service didn’t have them. On a public street, on a poor line, I was required to provide all my card details loudly over the phone while trying to avoid the other two confused looking groups who had also arrived. Great security but it was clear that we would not otherwise be allowed to check in. We then had to go to a lockbox, get our key and get ourselves into our room. The hotel was literally empty except for guests, with everything in darkness. Tried to get breakfast the next morning but the only things on offer were a toastie or a cardboard box of stuff. No breakfast service on Monday or Tuesday apparently. My Accor membership supposedly entitles me to a free late check out - again desirable because of our need to go to a funeral. However had to pay if we wanted more than an hour. While I understand that staff are hard to find it shouldn’t be too hard to tell those who book what the arrangements actually are or to change your marketing to do more than rely on small print notes. Highly misleading and I would never have booked if any of these things had been made clear. Literally the only service provided by the hotel apart from the room was to process my payment. Shame on Accor for attaching its brand to this place. It is apparently a franchise arrangement so “different policies apply” to those Accor advertise (and charge membership fees for),

Go elsewhere. This is the opposite of hospitality.

This has been one of the worst hotel experiences that I have ever had anywhere, ever. Where to begin? I am a Silver Accor member and my 82 year old brother is a limitless Diamond. The hotel flies under the Accor flag, but not under the Accor standard, quality or hospitality. It doesn't offer a friendly welcome or even breakfast despite saying that it does, they only gave us one small bottle of water per room not per person, there are no amenities, as upper echelon Accor members we were not given our privileges until we insisted, we were sitting quietly in the lobby attempting to use the faulty Accor App to book at other Accor properties and were ordered to go to our rooms at 8:30 because they were going to lock up the lobby and other public areas of the hotel. We said that we wanted to sit there until we finished, so as of 8:30 we were expected to go to our rooms. We protested and asked to be allowed to finish our bookings, not an easy task with a faulty app. We asked to speak to the manager, who stated that shutting down the hotel at 8:30 was hotel policy and that we should have read the small print. Mantra group call themselves hotels when in fact they are motels and mislead you into what they offer by banking on the Accor brand. Whatever you do, stay elsewhere. You won't regret it.

Only stayed as this was pet friendly , was a stop on way home from Mildura to Sydney with 4&1/2 month old puppy , yes house trained that we had just driven to pick up, for a pet friendly motel , it wasn’t friendly , why would you have rooms not on ground floor with access straight outside , yes it had a balcony but I couldn’t let her out on there as she could get through the bars and fall to the ground ,not what o would call pet friendly I never would have stayed had I known that , Bathroom shower had 2 shower heads , neither really worked at all basically no hot water , no pressure and cold , not worth what we paid even using $100 with out accommodation vouchers , very very disappointing, would not have pets on floors other than the 1st floor , Also room smelt could not sleep , bid yellow stain on floor ,

Very comfortable and in walking distance to Woolies and some great cafes and restaurants. It is not fancy but my room was spotless, with a comfortable bed and great shower. The sofa in the room is a great addition, particularly if you are staying for more than one night. There is also a microwave, toaster and plates and cutlery. It would be great to see Smart TVs added to the rooms. It is as quiet as you can expect a hotel to be. Make sure that you pay the extra $10 a night for a deluxe room instead of the superior and ask for a room on level 2 or 3.. The superior rooms appear to be on the ground floor with a glass sliding door that open straight onto the car park. There are no sheer curtains or blinds for privacy so you would need to keep the heavy curtains closed if you were in the room during the day. They are also the pet friendly rooms. I was initially allocated one of these rooms on my last stay but the very accomodating staff were able to move me to a room on a higher level when I requested it which was much appreciated.

I have stayed here a couple of times, most recently in June. On check in I got chatting to the receptionist, who was doubling as food waiter and bar person, such are the labour shortages in regional areas or as it just to save money? The motel is older style and while spacious and reasonably clean needs an update to remain current. Would only stay if unable to stay at my normal hotel in town.
