Close to the A35 exit, the hotel also has a parking garage for 20 EUR/night by reservation and subject to availability, free for bikes.

Wonderful Hotel, Especially for Walkers

My husband and I, both in our 70’s, spent five nights at this hotel in a large Executive room (402). It is a pretty and easy walk from the train station and an easy walk to “Little Venice”, and the old town. Many cafes, restaurants, shops, markets, churches…. We walked everywhere. We did 3 day trips by train to Basel 👎, Strasburg 👍, and to the Chateau Haut Koenigsbourg Castle👍. There is a water filling station right by the elevators, with Glass bottle to fill and take to your room. That was a nice touch. Our room was large, with a refrigerator and microwave and plenty of storage. Fabulous shower! All staff was wonderful, including housekeeping, and, especially receptionists Ivan and Michaela, who always greeted us with a smile and happy to make suggestions and advise. A special thanks to Michaela, who assisted us with plans for the castle, and especially her help in getting us to Strasburg when our train was canceled right before departure. That is customer service over and beyond. We will definitely stay here if we are ever lucky enough to travel to Colmar again.

This is a hotel of 2 stars level, no more. It is not so centrally located, there is a 15 minutes walk to the center. Rooms are basic and down, internet is not working in a consistent way, it is too weak. Sink in bathroom- hard to use. Matresses are way too soft, there is no support for the back, I had a few sleepless nights, impossible to sleep on them. Full of noisy children, we did not use the bar because of the noise. Actually, there is not a proper bar, only a few chairs at the entrance. Breakfast is served in the same entrance area, on very small tables, everything is standard and down. All furniture is old and worn. And parking: they have a huge underground parking, why they start from the end to the entrance? Why to park so far and to drag the baggage all the way to the lift if all the other parking spots are free? This is their way of seeing things.... All in all, not the standard of Novotel.

Great staff and fantastic location for the Christ Markets- not too far from the train station.

We had a lovely experience at this hotel while visiting the Christmas market. A gentle walk from the train station to the hotel, which is surrounded by a residential area. Walked right around the corner to the first market. Most of all, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the hotel provided a solution for our family of three— large bed for the parents and a twin for the kiddo. Very happy with our stay.

Good location, just 5-10 minutes to walk to the old town. Check-in was easy! The super-friendly staff had our keys ready on arrival--all hotels should do this! The hotel has two swift lifts (unfortunately, one was broken during our stay, but it wasn't an issue for us). Our room was a decent size. The bed was comfortable and had non-feather pillows--great for allergy sufferers! There was a small shelf at each side of the bed that served as a nightstand. There was only a power outlet on one side of the bed; nice that there were USB ports at each bedside for charging, but an actual power outlet on both sides would be best for two people to charge devices at bedside. The room had a mini fridge. The bathroom had a bathtub and a large, separate shower with a shelf to store your own hair products & shaver. The shower water pressure was light but acceptable and the hot water stayed hot for the duration. The towels were a large and of ok thickness. Another hook would have been nice for two people to better hang towels. And while there was ample counterspace at the sink, there was nowhere to hang the hand towel; another small rack at the sink would be ideal. The wall-mounted magnifying mirror was a great touch! The WiFi was super strong (66mbps download & 44mbps upload) but not password protected (boo!). Yummy bakery around the corner next door. I've stayed at this hotel before and will happily return.
