Beautiful stay. We really enjoyed all the activities that were offered. Lots of activities for the kids and the play area and game room were really great. Kids got to go fishing and bake cookies! Roasting marshmallows on the front lawn and the singers were such a nice extra!

Great stay...but look carefully at your invoice!

We stayed at Fairmont Manoir Richelieu from July 16 to July 19, 2024. We frequently visit this resort and as usual, we were pleased with our stay: the location is outstanding, the employees are nice and helpful, the food is good, the room is clean, and there are many activities to do (we played mini-golf, tennis, walked the beautiful path in the forest and enjoyed the pool, in which in did my laps each morning). That said, our package included a discount for meals/spas, which we were surprised to see was not reflected on the invoice. I first called to ask for the adjustment, being told (without apologies) that they would send another updated invoice. Three days later, still no news. I called again, and this time, received the updated invoice (and an apologie). So, all in all, great stay, but just carefully look at your invoice, especially if your package included a discount for meals/spa!

Rooms were lovely as was the (limited) water view; small window. Both restaurants were outstanding in food and service. Would have like more access to activities suited for older people (we are 73 & 83). Would have loved to have prior stay suggestions based on a short survey of age, likes/dislikes, mobility, etc. For example, a wine tasting or a driver for 1/2 or full day; not free but able to have scheduled.

Don’t regret it but not amazing service

Beautiful location BUT, terrible service calling 5 times to get a bottle of water waiting an hour for it , be careful with the room service fees 5 dlls + 15 % service and after they ask for additional tip!!! (None sense) .food is mediocre. People at the front desk are not well informed , you can get different information from a one day to the other , I would also point the positive side: Laurent (concierge) he is wonderful and thanks to him we will certainly be back , he solved many of our issues. Pierre also was helpful:) Pools were fine but people getting annoyed by kids.. so not as kid friendly pool , not talking about the jacuzzi about the pool, isn’t supposed to swim be part of the idea? One of the jacuzzi didn’t work for a day of our 3 night stay. The view from our room was breathtaking, I am thankful for that (of course payed for it ) , comfortable beds , small bathroom, the sheets were never changed in our 3 night stay. I could suggest to get ready to not have amazing meals in place , enjoy the view and hiking trails . Golf court was also BEAUTIFUL!!!

Great Property, Service Could Be Better

Stayed with family including grandchildren at the Fairmont. Lovely, lovely property with a rich history. Hotel is grand, rooms are clean and nice and surrounding area is gorgeous. There are also plenty of activities at and around the hotel including golf, a casino, nice indoor and outdoor pools, challenging mini golf course, live music by the river. Also kids eat free in the dining room which was a nice touch. However, for such a grand hotel, the service was disappointing. Pickleball racquets are cheap wooden ones, nets are broken, no one seemed to know where the kids activities take place, concierge did not know that the whale watching has up-charges in the summer, valet did not help with bags on departure. All little things but points to either poor management or poor training. Fairmont, please fix these issues and you would be a five star again.
