This is the hotel I go to in my dreams. It’s simple, really. A low line of motel-style rooms all along the sea, with the water practically lapping at your door. It’s heaven. The rooms are small and difficult to live out of (tiniest fridge ever), but it’s worth it for the serenity of this location. Service is very good and attentive - you’ll get an ice bucket on the beach and you can stay put all day. The food is not amazing and more Bajan specialties cooked with soul would improve the experience. We recently stayed at a different property along this coast and I was reminded of why I love the Fairmont. I’m already dreaming of my next trip back.

A wonderful hotel, with a breathtaking location on the West Coast of Barbados. Service was impeccable, the rooms delightful and the beach itself was as you hoped for on a Caribbean Island. Our family had a wonderful time,plenty to see and do and the hotel’s location made it easy to travel to all parts of the Island. Highly recommended and thanks again to all the staff that made it a memorable holiday

The hotel, infrastructure and beach location are excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. The service and food at dinner time in the palm terrace was of a high standard. Room for improvement at lunch in the Taboras - the waiting time to take orders and deliver them is too long. Several tables are located with the sun impacting on some of those seated; this makes the experience unpleasant.

The hotel is run down with terrible restaurants and food options (poaching eggs in the same pot as boiling eggs is not ok). The bedroom we stayed in (ground floor with private deck) was damp and all clothes we unpacked smelled coming out of the wardrobe. Cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The pool was a real disappointment. This hotel dines out on the fact that the beach / location is decent. We left early and the hotel shrugged their shoulders and told us bad luck they were charging us anyway. We paid over $2k a night for this average 3* rubbish. Please don’t be fooled.

The property is on a beautiful beach. However the service was terrible. There was so much miscommunication. I paid for the room that had airport concierge service , I received none. In the way our or in. I got to the hotel at 230 but my room was not given till 5pm , even though check in is at 3pm. The staff never responded to my requests , I had to keep nudging them about my queries . The first night we ordered pizza in the room and it was like a cardboard , I complained . No one responded. I ordered a wrap on the beach , took a bite , didn’t like it. Told the waitress and she just nodded and took it away did not offer to replace it with another dish, yet charged me. The cocktails had no alcohol or very little. I don’t drink a lot , one drink , but I didn’t feel like there was any alcohol in the drink. I asks for house water once to be sent to room and they said they would charge as they only provide it complimentary with turn down that begins at 630pm . So I would need to wait .. mind you I am paying $1000/night for this room. But they won’t give me water. Whenever I called the front desk for some information and they were supposed to get back to me , they never did. I had to hunt them down and keep pestering them to get things done. The breakfast service was terrible ! It was just a huge disappointment to pay top dollar and get terrible service . The property is located on a lovely beach though . But I would never recommend this hotel . I am an Accor member and have stayed at many other fairmont properties and am shocked and dismayed at the service here! Never again. I would advise Don’t stay here . There are other resorts on the same beach , try them instead.
