This is a very predictable Ibis that has an excellent location close to the airport. Some of my business colleagues even walked using the pedway. I prefer the local taxi, but call the hotel or ask at the taxi stand for the taxi to the Ibis Aeroporto. They have a special service with the tourist taxi that is free and they are more than happy to drive you across the freeway to the hotel, and the hotel pays them. It is a nice, clean inviting Ibis with very friendly staff. THe little bar has great sancks, and there is a little lounge area. Breakfast is also very good. The rooms are clean and very functional, and in typical Ibis decor. No surprises. 5 stars becuase it is exactly what I expected and it served my needs twice in one week as I was connecting through Recife to and from my destination.

Conveniently located right across the airport, this hotel is most convenient not only for passengers. For those with business arrangements in Greater Recife, the hotel is right on the highway crossing the state North to South! Also, for tourists visiting Recife itself and aware of how to move around in the city, the bus station Aeroporto is one block away! The hotel has an agreement with the blue taxis to take passengers from the airport at free of charge; the return costs now R$ 12, though one can easily walk there. Ibis standards are known and reliable all over the world and this predictability is always in favour of the Ibis chain. Staff is helpful and kind, kudos to Geovana and Valeria. Breakfast is better than in many other hotels in the city, even better than at Mercure Navegantes, an awful hotel in many regards anyway. Some rooms have been remodelled, make sure to ask for one of them at check-in. Isolation is perfect, one hear nothing from the planes or traffic. I'd suggest better recognition of Platinum members, a more complete TV channels' package, a venue for business meetings and better maintenance in some rooms. Usually airport hotels serve only one purpose; this one, due to its strategic location, can welcome guests with multiple purposes.

I have been traveling to Recife for last 10 years on business. I have stayed in this Ibis hotel a million times. Last stay was pre covid and latest stay was in May 2022. The hotel used to be my favorite hotel in Recife, but it has lost its touch. The problems 1. The room was FULL of mosquitos and these mosquitos were stubborn. It was almost impossible to swat them with hand. I used repellant but they had become immune to repellant. All night they were buzzing in the ears, during my 2 night stay. 2. There is a new car repair garage right at back of hotel. so if you are in say room 232 or 134 etc....you can hear this noise from early morning of car repairs and mechanics tallking, making it impossible to sleep along with the buzzing mosquitos. 3. when I arrived in room, toilet was very dirty with human excreta of previous guest still visisble. 4. The hotel's internet /wifi connection was dropping off every 5 minutes on its own. 5. When I arrived the front desk girl on duty at 0300 refused to speak Spanish or English and insisted on speaking only Portuguese. For me, this is unacceptable. that hotel staff not trained in a 2nd language. why hire these jokers, general manager/ceo of this hotel - public wants to know!!? Positives 1. Excellent location close to Recife airport 2. Good hot water in shower 3. hotel has excellent coffee selection to buy and sip in the morning. 4. Morning front desk staff is friendly. ( night staff was super rude) Overall, I do not recommend this hotel. I wiill NEVER return and I travel often to Recife. I hope you found my review helpful? Did you ever wonder who stays in airport hotels? I did—as recently as a week ago, I had that very conversation with my wife. We returned to Recife Airport (REC) from a trip to Salvador, Bahia. When we got in, the city of Recife just got walloped with a month’s worth of rain in a little over a day. We left the airport, but every route out of the city was flooded and impassable. I made the executive decision that we had no choice but to sleep in the closest hotel. The Ibis Hotel Recife Aeroporto is right across the street from the airport. It’s also an Accor Hotel. There is another hotel nearby, but not nearly the same quality as Ibis and not even as close to the airport. The hotel is simple, modern, clean and cute. They have 166 rooms. The lobby and the room are modern; the beds are comfortable. They offer 24 hour kitchen service and their restaurant is open for dinner; breakfast starts as early as 4AM, which is a first for me, but good for travelers. The room had good water pressure, good air conditioning and a large-screen TV. The hotel doesn’t have either a gym or a swimming pool. Hotel employees were all very helpful and friendly. If you NEED to stay near the airport, I really recommend this hotel.

We stayed one night at the Ibis, early flight the following day. Very warm welcome ,reception staff very helpful and provided us with a map and lots of tips for our day in Recife. Not a big room,but,very comfortable bed, very clean and well ventilated bathroom. The hotel is a short taxi ride away from the center. We didn’t have the time for breakfast, but, it looked very good. I totally recommend this airport hotel.
