Stayed here for four nights. Room was very clean and although not an accessible room there was plenty of room for my wheelchair. Bathroom a bit tired but useable. Had dinner first night but not up to scratch and manager made small reduction on the bill. Breakfast next day was mostly cold and when I mentioned it was told there’d been a wedding the day before and breakfast not in orangery as usual To be fair the breakfast on rest of stay in Orangery was much better but tinned tomatoes ugh what’s wrong with fresh. Me and my husband had our wedding here in September, and although we made the most out of the day, there were so many issues, that the operations manager and general manager failed to take any accountability for. I'm posting as I don't want anyone else to have an awful experience on their wedding day, that you spend so much money on and hope to be an amazing day. From things not being set up on arrival, false promises of being able to set up the reception room early before the ceremony, 60 guests being left from 4:30-6:00pm in the small bar area because the staff "forgot" to open the doors to the reception room, resulting in people sitting in the corridor near the toilets and outside near the carpark. No acknowledgement for the gluten free cakes being mixed in with normal cakes, despite being made aware of allergies months prior. Bridesmaids having to ask for the bridal suite to be cleaned at 7:30pm as they luckily popped to the room, they had to ask for dishes to be taken away, bins to be emptied, towels and toilet roll refreshed, which was all meant to be done at 3:30pm but wasn't. The GM stated the cleaning staff misunderstood their role. Gifts that were on the gift table have been lost and not reimbursed or returned. One of my Bridesmaids found a Razor blade on the bathtub in her filthy room. Guests were charged multiple different prices within the bar, but also charged more than they were in the Carter and Fitch bar, then were refused service once this was discovered. The fairy lights in the outdoor pavilion don't work, despite this being a feature discussed on the booking of the venue, and highlighted that we'd love photos taken with the fairy lights outside. Some of the staff were fine, but a lot were rude and didn't want to help or offer any support. On the day of the wedding, I didn't speak to any staff until 2:30pm, apart from the 2 female staff members who delivered breakfast. No one was coordinating my wedding, not even a hello, happy wedding day, do you need anything. All of this was discussed with the operations manager the following day and not so much as an apology was offered, only pushing the blame back onto myself, my husband and our guests. A lot of the same can be said from speaking to the General manager, but he believes because he said sorry, that all was fixed. We've been deeply disappointing by the experience and hope no future couples have the same issues as we did.

We stayed here this weekend as my mam was celebrating her 70th birthday in the Washington suite. And it was fantastic! The room was perfect, decorated to a lovely standard, staff incredible and the DJ and karaoke went down a storm. We also had a lovely sleep in a giant bed and an excellent breakfast. Really highly recommended, thank you to the staff for making the occasion one to remember.

Stayed at this hotel for a golf match, the room I had 125 was very clean and tidy , everything you need was there. All Staff were friendly and helpful . Breakfast was plentiful and cooked and staff here were very helpful and always busy. The minus points were pool very small and drink’s expensive so went out to local pub

We attended a wedding at this hotel and booked through a link the bride gave us. The link did not work so we were charged full price for our stay. We had previously spoke to the hotel who said they would remove the discount for us on our day of arrival so we wouldn't miss out. On check-in the receptionist told us we would not be getting the discount as it had already been taken off the amount, it had not. They even tried to charge us £272 on check-in instead of £212 on my booking. We have ended up paying way more than we should and the hotel have not been able to give me a print out of the invoice which shows our discount. I have a print out of the room price but it does not show that a discount code was used orthat a discount is applied to the price. Terrible customer service as none of our questions have been answered and no reduction in our price. They are going to "take on our feedback". The reception are no help and certainly do not do their best to help solve a problem. The amount on my booking is also less than they charged me when I got there which means they have not even honoured the price it shows on my booking.

The rate you received was indeed correct. Regarding the discount, the code you used when booking gave you access to a rate that was 15% lower than the standard selling price at that time. This is why no additional discount is shown on your invoice—the discounted rate was already applied upfront. We also noticed a system error that added additional breakfasts to your booking, which we’re glad we were able to correct promptly. While we regret we couldn’t offer an additional discount, we hope this explanation clarifies the situation. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
