Excellent small Ibis hotel a short distance from the centre of Guingamp. My wife and self use often when we visiting the area. There is a small restaurant next door which is also very good, especially if you have one of their value lunches. All in all a good convenient Ibis hotel.

All the basics for a two night stay

We booked two nights because we were in the area for a wedding of a friend. The bed was good. You can park tour car safely in the parking. After 9 PM you need a code to enter the parking. The reception staff was always in a good mood. Breakfast is good, different hot and cold choices.

Our ferry was late arriving in Roscoff and went looking for a hotel as the one I booked was closed (shuts @ 10.30. Pleased to get a bed for the night,set off next morning as I traveled south with my wife I started to itch. When we got home I stripped own to find the source of the itching,my wife discovered I was covered in fleas necessary to shower so many. The only place that I could have collected these pests was at the hotel.As we drove straight home and did not stop anywhere else! I contacted on the same day of arrival complaining that I had been infested. Had a response the following day this is how it goes (Brits will understand) Me Sir No Sir Him Sir

Afin d’apporter le plus de clarté et de transparence à votre commentaire, je me permets de réitérer la réponse qui vous a été personnellement faite. Votre information nous est parvenue plus de 24h après votre départ. Il nous a été impossible de constater les choses sur le moment présent. Pour nous permettre de faire le nécessaire il est primordial de nous informer directement sur place du problème rencontré. Nous n’avions de fait aucune preuve que notre établissement était à l’origine du problème. Si tel en avait été le cas sachez que nous aurions tout mis en œuvre pour vous dans votre intérêt et enfin pour notre établissement corriger le problème et faire le nécessaire. Cependant comme indiqué j’ai personnellement contrôlé minutieusement la chambre et démonté l’ensemble de la literie. Je n’ai observé aucun animal si petit soit-il dans la chambre ou sur l’ensemble du matériel composant le lit. Notre personnel est continuellement formé à ce genre de procédures afin de pouvoir prévenir et éviter ainsi le mécontentement de notre clientèle. Enfin la chambre a été occupée après votre départ par un autre client et celui-ci n’a rencontré aucun souci durant son séjour. Ces éléments de réponse nous paraissaient important d’être indiqués, afin que les commentaires de nos clients ne se transforment pas en vengeance sur internet lorsque la réponse précédemment faite face à une réclamation n’aurait pas satisfait le client concerné. Chose this hotel as is a practical main road between St Brieuc and Brest and Roscoff Nicely located. Excellent rooms. Secure parking. Good breakfast. The restaurant is simple but there is a restaurant next door. In terms of value for money I think the Ibis limited menu is better. For cycling, there is a lovely valley to the south of the village ( and a lovely region). It takes 5 minutes to go through the village ( small climb) and then you have +20kms of lovely valley roads!

After filling my cup with orange juice at the breakfast buffet, I found myself chewing on broken glass. Then I noticed that my glass was worn out and so were other glasses in the stack. I walked up to the reception desk, where hotel staff was chatting. I explained the problem and their answer was "oh, yes, haha!". I left the piece of broken glass and the cup on the desk, hoping for some action. See picture. Fifteen minutes later, walking back to my room, I see the staff is absent and my glass is still there. Travelling with young children, I consider this a serious issue.
