Worst hotel we've ever experienced

The place is absolutely terrible. We checked in and back out again within 20 minutes. We didn't even occupy the room or use anything in it. It's an old, run down, grotty and very poorly maintained property The air-conditioning in the room didn't work. The furnishings are decrepit and falling apart. The bathroom exhaust fan rattles and vibrated, sounding like a truck. We were to stay one night on our return from the Coral coast. It was booked by Flight Centre. The Novotel flatly and very bluntly refused a refund. We moved to the Fiji Gateway hotel. Excellent. My advice would be to avoid the Novotel Nadi.

This is certainly not the standard we strive to provide to our guests. We acknowledge that the property is one of the older hotels in the area and understand your concerns regarding maintenance and room facilities. While we do have an in-house preventative maintenance program to address such issues, we will review it to ensure it is fully effective in supporting a positive guest experience. Please be assured that we are actively working with the property owners on refurbishment plans to further address these concerns and enhance the overall guest experience. We regret that we were unable to meet your needs on this occasion and sincerely appreciate you bringing these matters to our attention, as guest feedback is invaluable in helping us improve.

Stayed here for a night before heading out to the islands and we were not very happy to be charged a 400 dollar NZ bond ( never had this for a one night stay in hotel before) that still havent got back. We were also not charged the correct price as Accur group members, the staff refunded us with cash after some discussion but was a bit frustrating. The air conditioning was also very loud and we had to turn it off to be able to sleep. Do not reccomend this hotel.

Please know that the $400 NZD pre-authorization is a standard policy intended to cover incidental costs and is released after check-out; however, the timing of the release can vary depending on your bank. If you’re still waiting on the funds, we would be happy to assist by following up with your bank or providing a release confirmation. We also apologize for the initial error in your Accor group member rate. We're glad our team was able to resolve this during your stay, but we completely understand how this could have caused frustration, and we appreciate your patience at the time. Lastly, we’re sorry to hear that the air conditioning was disruptive to your rest. Our maintenance team has been notified to look into this issue to prevent future inconvenience for our guests. We truly value your feedback as it helps us improve our service. While we regret that your experience was not a positive one, we hope you’ll consider giving us another opportunity in the future.

Yes the hotel room is dated but that didn't worry me. Everything worked. The staff are awesome and if I returned to Nadi I would come again.

We went in with no expectations reading past reviews knowing we were staying for 5 nights & not 1 like most reviews suggested BUT we actually enjoyed our stay here! All 5 nights/6 days! Yeh it’s dated but didn’t bother us at all! We come from humble beginnings ourselves so wear & tear was nothing to us. Folks complaining about how small the pool is & dated the rooms are etc bruh Ya’ll proper privy folks I swear 🙄🤣 Spend some more & go somewhere else then! Simple HAHA & Go swim in the ocean that’s probably big enough for your likings 😂 Staff are lovely! From reception to housekeeping, restaurant & maintenance! Thank you for hosting us during our stay! Better stay than our last stay

We often use for it a stopover. Our last experience was so bad we didn't go back for 3 years. This time was much better. Lovely lady checked us in and a porter took us to our room. Last time we were handed the keys and had to find our own room. Rooms are dated but clean. Had dinner in the restaurant. Meal was so big I could not eat it all but very nice. Checked out very early and drove ourselves to the airport but they will order a taxi if required. Much better stay this time.
