Dear Nicole, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your recent stay with us did not meet your expectations. We understand your concerns regarding the bond charge. Please know that the $400 NZD pre-authorization is a standard policy intended to cover incidental costs and is released after check-out; however, the timing of the release can vary depending on your bank. If you’re still waiting on the funds, we would be happy to assist by following up with your bank or providing a release confirmation. We also apologize for the initial error in your Accor group member rate. We're glad our team was able to resolve this during your stay, but we completely understand how this could have caused frustration, and we appreciate your patience at the time. Lastly, we’re sorry to hear that the air conditioning was disruptive to your rest. Our maintenance team has been notified to look into this issue to prevent future inconvenience for our guests. We truly value your feedback as it helps us improve our service. While we regret that your experience was not a positive one, we hope you’ll consider giving us another opportunity in the future.

We understand that parts of our property may feel a bit dated, and we’re pleased to share that the owners are actively working on refurbishment plans for the near future. Once completed, we’re confident these upgrades will significantly enhance the overall guest experience. We are very sorry to hear that your experience fell so far below expectations, and we sincerely apologise for the discomfort and frustration you encountered during your visit. What you’ve described does not reflect the level of service and quality we strive to provide, and we understand how disappointing this must have been. Your comments about the condition of the hotel, the restaurant experience, and the service issues have been taken seriously and shared with our senior management team. We also acknowledge your concerns regarding staff performance and food service—these are areas we are actively working to improve. Additionally, we are currently engaging with the property owners on a refurbishment and redevelopment plan, which we believe will greatly enhance the guest experience and bring the hotel up to the standard our guests rightly expect from the Novotel brand.
