Terrible experience. Dated, old, uncomfortable mattress, no full set of bedsheets, noisy, hot and an incessant blinking security light over the parking lot that kept me up for three nights. Insult to injury, front desk clerk threatened an early departure payment fee of all remaining days when there’s not such policy anywhere on the hotel’s website. Fortunately, between my employer and credit card company, they put the good clerk in his rightful place and I departed a few days early without any additional fees.

Front office staff act like robot specially with check in procedure The are totally inexperienced. We came at 14h20 2 persons without reservation checking one 14h30 an other at 14h40 When we asked for our reserved room answer wasccheck in is at 15h point. Front office is understaffed

My group spent a quick night here after the Passion Play at Oberammergau about 30 minutes away. Although we arrived late, the room keys were ready and checkin was seamless. The elevators are very small and fit a couple people at a time. I loved the room. There were two twin beds, comfy sheets and duvet, and a down Euro pillow. The room had a little breakfast table in it. One of the things I liked the best was the bathroom. Although it was small, there was a wonderful deep tub and great soap and shampoo (in squeeze bottles). The breakfast was exceptional. There was lots of regional items, delicious breads, cheeses, and sausage, and many many choices. The wait staff was courteous. I'd love to stay here again someday.

As a retired hotel manager, I feel that the word hospitality has no meaning in this hotel. The restaurant for one, was not available for customers and our party had to go out and find a place to eat under rainy cold conditions. The staff did not understand that we were paying guests, their disdain for our comfort was evident. There was no heating in my room, I had to sleep fully dressed to be able to keep my body heat, The only blanket that was available was the size of a large towel, one pillow and you could never get comfortable in that bed. The staff was not trained and rude. I would never recommend this place to anyone specially with the prices that they charge. I really felt that it had been the worst experience in my life.

With regards to the restaurant we would like to apologies that all tables were already reserved an Saturday and due to this we had not the chance to convince of our restaurant offer & the team spirit. Concerning the heating, we do admit that it was very challeging to handle the differnce of 20 degrees from on day to the other. In order to improve the heating performance we did our utmost but out Maintenance team wasent't quick enough for varyinf factos can affect the heatind in the different areas. I do apologize, that due to this, your recent stay was not as relaxing as it should be. Although we fell short of meeting your expectations during your past stay, I hope you will consider Mercure Hotel Garmisch-Partenkirchen again for a next stay so that we can better deliver upon the guest experience you deserve. The parking was € 8 per night which I knew and it was fine but on the last night I couldn't find a space so they sent me to a nearby parking lot in front of a supermarket. It was not that big of a deal to be honest but I did kindly ask them to remove 1 night of the parking charge and they refused. I don't think that was a good customer service. Other than that everything else was fine.
