Currently staying here the building and lobby are lovely and staff greeted me warmly and were extremely kind. Sadly that’s where it stopped being 4 star in my opinion. The room I’m in is incredibly dated. My bed(s) have been made up as a double in the standards style of the region with two single covers. I’m glad they have as the single is a child size not a full size single. Beds fairly comfortable at first but not the best. Room clean. Decor very dated. Bathroom also very dated. light not working in the bathroom but reception quick to offer a repair (edit: day 3 still not repaired) But in the two rooms (standard double) i booked neither room has curtains that actually fit the window leaving a 10-12” gap. The food smells good but have to book. Breakfast good. Not convinced this is a 4 star room…. If you stay here don’t expect 4 star looks despite the so far 4 star service

Cons : 1/ located next to Partikenchen street where you can find beautifully painted buildings. 2/ beside a supermarket. 3/ there is ample parking on-site right in front of the hotel. 4/ Room is quiet and clean. 5/ Wifi is good. 6/ Service is friendly and helpful. Cons : 1/ Bed and pillows are too soft. Hotel provided 2 free additional pillows upon request. 2/ Hotel is old but meets the basic needs of a hotel. 3/ Breakfast place crowded due to limited space.

We recently stayed for three nights on a bed and breakfast basis.On arrival day we were earlier than planned. The male and female receptionists were very kind and helpful and we could use the facilities pending check in. A short while later our roon was ready and the lady was on duty, she was very helpful spoke english and gave us some helpful information about the area as it was our first time visit. Our room was bright and clean and the bed was very comfy. The swimming pool was great as we both enjoy swimming. One thing to bare in mind is the showers and changing are mixed so hire a robe from reception so you can shower in your room . We didnt eat in the hotel in the evenings as we ate out in a few of the establishments on Ludwigstrasse which is left of the hotel. We had breakfast and always found plenty we liked. Its also around a 15 minute walk to the Olympic ski jump centre and a 5 minute drive to the railway stn for Zugpitze mountain. All the staff we encountered were polite and professional. If ever in the area again my wife and I agreed we would stay again .

Dear Mercure Hotel Garmisch-Partenkirchen Management, I am writing to bring to your attention an unfortunate issue that occurred during my recent visit to your hotel 25 Jun 2024 (midnight) . My friends and I arrived in Garmisch late at night, and we approached your front desk in hopes of securing two rooms for the night. Upon arrival, we respectfully inquired about room rates and the possibility of any available discounts. Unfortunately, the receptionist took an unexpected turn. The receptionist on duty responded not only with a refusal but also raised their voice and rudely demanded that we leave the hotel. This reaction was both surprising and disappointing, especially considering the late hour and our polite approach. I am compelled to communicate this to you not out of grievance but in the hopes that this may be an isolated issue not reflective of the hotel's standards. Garmisch-Partenkirchen, being renowned for its hospitality, and this being our first visit, it was disheartening to face such a reception. I believe in constructive feedback and hope that this incident will be investigated to prevent future occurrences that could tarnish the reputation of your esteemed hotel. Thank you.

Stayed 3 x before and this time all went great,check in and out professional,room upgraded and breakfast was included,have good selections,maybe little crowded but ok.If I remember correctly prior to this stay parking was free and now 9 euros
